Pat D. is hosting a Denim and Company show and I find that she yells rather than speaks her words. Perhaps the evening shows are different than morning but I find her difficult to listen to. She is laughing very loudly, as well. Can't figure it out - normally I enjoy her. Anyone else noticing this?

My personal opinion is that it's left over from having to speak VERY loudly to be heard over SG during that one-hour show previous to this one. She just had to keep talking to give out the information she needed to give out, and had to speak in a loud voice to be heard in spite of SG's constant chatter.

I don't mind her but she's been pushing the hard sell technique to strongly. Earlier tonight she told everyone to pick up two white t shirts because inevitably you would spill something on one. And then she encouraged everyone to order everything through an app because ""no one would know what you're doing"" (implying she wanted people to go overboard and keep spending money anonymously).

I don't remember hearing Pat yell in all the years I've watched. I've been watching tonight and haven't heard her yell or laugh very loudly, but I guess we all have different levels of what we can tolerate, or what irks us.

I guess, to me, she sounds like she is thowing her voice out there and its unnecessary. She also seems silly with the Denim and Company guy.

I agree that Pat is on a bit of an oversell high lately! In addition to her infamous "Feel free to buy more than one". UGH! Like customers need to be told this?? Is she giving us permission to buy multiples? LOL. And "GoHead" is another one that drives me batty with her. I do enjoy Pat as a host, but only in small doses. She has some annoying habits that keep me from watching for long periods of time.

I haven't noticed any yelling or laughing loudly either. She was joking when she said to order by app, then no one would know what you're doing. I wouldn't take any side comments seriously. Pat is a great host and is doing a good job tonight, as usual.

My guess is that management is pressuring her to sell more, maybe even "retraining" long time hosts in the art of the hard sell. She has a daughter in college so needs to keep her job.

I haven't watch the show, just signed on but she has been doing this for some time. The Friday night PM shows all she does is laugh and giggle, if I wanted comedy I would go watch comedy central. She seems to always want to cover her self if you watch her comparing to the rest of the other host. We all have flaws let it go for peet sake. I feel she is trying to over sell to get her a spot in the PM hours. No don't care for her latest technique of selling the products at all. And that flipping of the hair just drives me crazy. Agree with Lana, just terrible.

I noticed Susan Graver kept saying "It's only $53 dollars." Almost like come on, just buy this Spring jacket already! They are definitely on the hard sale tonight! Meanwhile, I just read Sandra's face book post about the shoes she was wearing today. I went to the site Nordstrom's, and the brand she was wearing is much less expensive then anything you would see on QVC. Her shoes were about $100 or so. You could buy really nice t-shirts for $25 w/ free s/h...Sometimes, I wonder if the hosts are thinking (especially if something is really ugly and overpriced) what a bunch of suckers buying this stuff!!

Mtnbikegirl, and keep in mind it is rumored these hosts get 30 percent off merchandise. It really tells you something about the quality and value when they are shopping at other outlets for clothing.

LOL at the "feel free to buy more than one". I've heard those type of comments. I like Pat well enough but she is being loud tonight. It's odd. Unless this is her usual, I don't watch her very often.

true! I heard Sandra say "'Probably slip of the tongue" "every time I see one of the models walk out I say to myself "there's another $20 I'm going to spend." That made me realize the employees must get a huge discount! That's why if I see the hosts/models really endorse something (like wearing it when they don't have to), I know it must be of better quality.

I like Pat and think she's a great host. I miss watching her and Jayne in the morning while I was getting ready to go, although I never did get to watch the whole show!

I like to see Pat by herself. She's got it under control. She shines much better without her different sidekicks. She's been doing this for years!

I will say that I do like her new hair style. I would cut mine, and I'm letting my bangs grow. I know it would be a mistake if I cut it as it would never look as good as that. I know, it helps to have it done by a hair stylist too.
