I have a question about a handbag I recently purchased at QVC and thought you fine ladies could provide a little advice. I bought a Dooney and Burke handbag ( A225227)that I just love, but it has a big problem........whenever you unzip the bag a strong chemical smell comes out. It smells like bug spray or something along those lines. The smell is really noxious and even my friends have noticed it. I have let it air out, but that hasnt helped. What should I do to get rid of the smell? Does anyone know what the smell is and/or if it will go away? I have never had this problem with a handbag before, but if I cant get rid of this smell, I am going to send it back. I would like to keep the bag.. Anyway, any advice or opinions would be appreciated.
