Do her jeans really run that large? They haven't really said what the measurements are for each size (XS, S, M, L, etc) but Diane said she has a 33" waist and is wearing an XS! I have similar measurements (same apple shape), but the "size finder" says I would take a medium. So what the heck?

In reviews of previous comfort waist jegging TSV, some people said they ran really big, some said just right, some said really small.

I think these look comfortable like yoga pants, and I'd like to try them, but have no idea what size to order!

Can anyone offer advice? I am about 33" waist, 40" hip, 5'6, 160 lb. Would usually be a 12.

I have 2 pair of jeans in this fabric and love them. The fabric is soft and comfy. The ones I have are number sized (2,4,6, etc.); I went down a size and they're perfect. But, the waist does stretch out and I use a belt with them. I was interested in the TS jeans until I saw there are no belt loops. If the waist stretches, there isn't a way to cinch it in. And like you, I don't have a clue what size to order. I will pass on these even though I do love the super stretch fabric.

I called last night and asked the rep if they had garment sizes that I couldn't see online, and she said no. I called back a little later to Customer Service because I wanted to verify their current returns "rules", and I asked him about measurements. He said the rep should have had what he had (which wasn't much):

Medium - Low Hip is 38-1/2" Waist Relaxed is 32" and extended is 38"

Large - Low Hip is 41-1/2" Waist Relaxed is 35" and extended is 41"

There is supposed to be 6" of stretch in the waist, which would account for 32 - 38" on the medium. The CS rep said there is 3" of stretch in the hip, but the "demo" says 10" of stretch in the hip! The CS rep may have been referring to the "ease" instead of the stretch.

I haven't tried the superstretch, but Diane just said again that she weighs well over 155 pounds and is in an extra small. She has said that when she was wearing her regular denim bootcut jeans that weren't superstretch (actually she said she wore a size 2 or 4) - and I just cannot believe that, I'm sorry. I weigh about 150, and in the regular jeans I could barely manage a size 10 - and she was in a 2 or 4? I don't think so.

I went to the reviews on the skinny leg Comfort Waist Superstretch Jegging - Item #360-739, which looks exactly like this one except this is bootcut. There are 134 one-star reviews and 104 two-star, and many say they run HUGE, others say they stretch out so much and are very baggy, others tell about bad stitching, inconsistent sizing, chemical smells, there are a lot of really bad reviews. The HUGE part is what concerns me -- according to their measurement guide where you put in your own measurements and it recommends the size, I'm a medium. But not sure if I should size down. However, I know if I had to I could take in the medium - if they're too small, I can't fix it.

I've said before that I would never buy another DG2 product for some of the reasons listed above, but I am going to give these a try - I should probably have my head examined, because I've had to send back too many defective jeans of hers in the past.

KittyMomNC,

Thanks for your information. I didn't even think to call CS. You and I sound like about the same size. I played a little bit with the measurement guide... and I decided to go with the small in these. Could be a mistake (because I am never a small!) but like you I have a larger waist and smaller hips and it seems like these will not be too small in the waist no matter what but could be saggy in the rear. I also am currently dieting, and hope to lose a size or two in the next couple of months.

I also debated on length, because my favorite jeans are 32.5", so I'm right in between regular and tall. But since these are more casual to me, I likely won't wear them with heels, so I went with the regular.

Good luck and let me know what you decide!

The size I wear now..is a 10 or a medium. My waist measures 28" and my hips are 35".

I weighed 116, last I checked, lol. I wear an XS or Small in her tops. I only order her tops now. I've had too many problems with her jeans. I have sizes, 4 thru 8 and now 10..I'm prepared for anything now..lol! I hope the size you choose works out, if not, their CS is wonderful! HTH!

Forgot to add..I had trouble with the SS. They stretched and the material puckered after wearing three times.Too late to send back, so I have decided to only buy jeans where I can try them on. Even the same brands vary~

I ordered these when they were the TS skinny jegging, and I have lived in them since. LOVE this fabric.

That said, size down. Also, I have 2 pairs in the same size, one in indigo and one in chambray, and they fit like 2 different sizes. So inconsistent.

The fabric does stretch out during the day, so if they feel a little tight when you put them on, they will be perfect in a few hours. That's my major hang-up.

Other than the HOW SMOOTH jeans, I can't wear any Denim & Co pants that have a regular waist, and their elastic waist pants don't look good on me. I have jeans I bought from Diane three years ago before she even thought of super stretch, and one pair I can take off without even unbuttoning or unzipping them after I've had them on for a few hours.

I'm taking a chance on ordering four colors, because they may not be here in my size later. I would hate to order both the small and medium and then have to send back 8 pair - but it wouldn't be the first time with her.

I love the SS skinny that I ordered from her last TS. They remind me of Levi's So Slimming jeans. They most definitely run big, but they are comfortable and warm in this cold weather.

I was tempted to try a pair of jeggings, but that FLARE looks like bell bottoms to me. The skinny jeans are not really skinny they are straight leg, so I would be worried about the flare of these bootcut jeans.

I ordered her SS in skinny w/ ankle zipper. They don't ship out until March 8th, but they look nice.

Every time I order her jeans they get sent back. I wish her jeans fit me. I am 5'10" but her waist is always above my waist "weird fit". I do not like low riders but do not want a waist above my belly button. I called CS because wanted to know the rise on the jean. He said they didn't give that info. So, up in the air ...thinking of cancelling. I have how smooth in DC but they never came back in my size. I think SPRING is coming so it will be cropped for me.

I ordered Superstretch once. Jeans fit great when I first put them on. Over the course of the day they stretched more and more. I was constantly having to pull them up. By the time I got home, I could pull them off without even undoing the button and zipper. Never again for me.

Knitgirl...I would go with the Sz M . I am similar measurements and have these in the skinny leg version. I am normally a Sz L in B&M stores ... In DG2 I am a M in her jeans. The last TS were an exception as they were extra large, and ran 2 sizes large. I hope this helps. This style is my fav, as they do not stretch out, get baggy and are very comfy.

My main problem is always my waist... it's at the top end of the extended (stretched out) waist measurement in the medium - so I'm afraid the small would be too tight in the waist. Do they get stretched out even more than the six inches they say for the waist? That's my major hang-up.

Other than the HOW SMOOTH jeans, I can't wear any Denim & Co pants that have a regular waist, and their elastic waist pants don't look good on me. I have jeans I bought from Diane three years ago before she even thought of super stretch, and one pair I can take off without even unbuttoning or unzipping them after I've had them on for a few hours.

I'm taking a chance on ordering four colors, because they may not be here in my size later. I would hate to order both the small and medium and then have to send back 8 pair - but it wouldn't be the first time with her.

KittymomNC, I know it's a pain to return, but I think you did the right thing considering DG2's sizing issues. That's what I love about these - the waist. It's much more comfortable and flattering than an elastic waist or a button jean. And while this material does grow some as you wear it, it's not bad IMO. The chambray is the softest, as usual.

After wearing this super stretch, when I put on her regular jeans the material feels scratchy. I just love these, enough that I'm willing to deal with the sizing issues (I also ordered 2 sizes).

She keeps saying there are "over 4,000 five-star reviews on just the super stretch fabric", but if there are, I can't find them. I'm having a hard time adding up 4,000 five-star reviews in total, but how does she weed out those on "just the fabric"? I've been going back and forth with myself all day about just canceling my order - but I'm going to at least try the medium. I had so much trouble in the past with such inconsistent sizing and defects in her jeans, it was just awful. The last thing I bought from her was a pair of regular boot cut jeans in a beautiful sage green that were on clearance for $19.95, a year ago. I had a "convenience credit" of $20 for having so much trouble with something else I bought,so I got the jeans free!

If only Denim & Co had not "improved" their How Smooth boot cut jeans they brought out almost two years ago. They were perfect... I get tired of listening to Diane about how this comfort waist is so "new", and copied from a $294 pair of jeans, etc. Denim & Co had this idea two years ago and still have them in the straight leg. They just should not have royally messed up a real winner - if they had brought those back exactly as they were, in a lot more colors, I would have dumped almost every jean I own and replaced them with the How Smooth!

DG2 is a known quantity for me, even with all of the problems.

Hope everyone who orders loves their jeggings!

I forgot to add... Disregard what DG says about her sizing. She adds to the confusion ""saying"" she has a 33"" waist and wears an XS. Something is not right ...I think she is smaller then she states on air. It actually looks like she lost weight and she is saying she gained 5 lbs? I would size down one size from your regular B&M sizing.
