topic Hosts and Vendors - are they really friends? in Fashion

I was watching an exchange between Susan Graver, Pat and Jayne one morning. Jayne was so bold as to ask for an invitation to sail on Susan's yacht. Susan was gracious and said she'd "be honored to have them".

I was wondering, though, about the relationship between vendors and hosts who have worked together for so many years. If I worked with someone for so long I would think I'd be friendly enough to be out on their boat, at the kids' weddings and all that stuff.

I know this falls under the category of "none of my business" and "get a life". but as an observer of human nature, it interests me.

Do you think their friendships are purely for the camera?
