If you have seen some of the ads for Kate Hudson's new athletic wear, you may have been tempted to check it out. The ads feature half price outfit promotions. What they don't tell you is that as soon as you place your first order, you are tying yourself into monthly orders. I caught myself just in time (I hope). Just before I placed the order I saw the fine print and removed the order...but I had registered so I tried to remove my name. Both online and phone communication led to my being told nothing could be done, but if I didn't place an order I would no longer be bothered. I hope so. I removed my name from their email communication list but I'm ready to report them to the appropriate agency if necessary. Online reviews are scathing. Kate Hudson will likely learn the hard way that she had better check out the companies to which she puts her name. Meanwhile, buyer beware.

You cannot believe what it took to cancel it either. You have to call them, you can't cancel it online. That phone call took almost 20 minutes because they kept offering me things to keep my business.

If you forget to "pass" on the month's outfits, they charge your credit card $49.95 and it appears as a "credit" on your account. The stuff isn't very good quality either. If you want decent workout wear, go to Target and get the Champion brand or to Kohls for the Fila brand.

I felt that It is clearly indicated that you are becoming a member and will be charged each month unless you opt out. It's extremely easy to "skip" each month by making one click on he computer. I don't think of this as a scam. You just need to set a reminder to opt out if you do not want to be charged. I personally think the clothes are gorgeous, tons of options and the quality is amazing. The clothing is literally a fraction of the prices of other high end yoga wear places such as Lululem----. For those who are into work out type clothes and don't want to spend $100 on yoga pants, I would say give it a try.

I know nothing at all about this offer, but I do know this monthly or bi-monthly kind of offer is coming on strong. Just yesterday on the Today show, about 6 of these kinds of "box-a-month" offers were highlighted - beauty, baby, kitchen, etc. All require opt-in, opt-out.

I do QVC's AD delivery on several items at a time - that's enough for me to keep track of. When I overdid them a few years back, I ended up with way too many things in my house. I did cancel nearly all and stopped buying in any category where I had a stash, so no way will I ever do that to myself again.

Being enrolled in these "clubs" is a big reason I don't order from infomercials- I feel like if I go thru QVC or HSN that I have more control. Have you ever ordered anything from an informercial? The up-sell is the majority of the ordering process. I would rather order an infomercial item from one of the shopping channels- I have read that the websites and customer service of as seen on tv products can be iffy. I'd rather not have these companies deducting $ from my debit card, so use a CC ( I've dodged that bullet once or twice).
