HSN REALLY KNOWS HOW TO DO CLEARANCE SHOWS

I couldn't believe the clearance prices on HSN, some items were reduced by $100! Needless to say, I did some damage on my credit card but it's worth it. The Q should take a lesson from them. I have to laugh when they have clearance prices and an item is $3.00 or $5.00 cheaper, sorry that's not a clearance to me. Prices on everything are going through the roof, I never remember Susan Graver tops being $50-60, the same for Denim & Co. And Quacker Factory. I'm not a fan of denim & co. Or Quacker, I'm more of a Linea, George Simonton person but even their prices have gone up substantially. I don't shop that much anymore with the Q, returns take forever, quality has gone down and very inconsistent sizing.

I agree the HSN does a really good clearance. They are faster on their shipping also. Regarding clothing styles I use to buy a lot of Susan Graver's tops, but the last few were just not the same quality and the price had gone up. Don't buy denim co., anymore either.

Everything I wanted was already gone in my size or color. I did order some Joan Boyce animal print pj's..but I didn't really need anything anyway, lol! LOVE their sales, but really, some of the items were pretty much sold out before they aired. Wish I had checked in tuesday night! LOVE the reduced shipping too!

I love Target's sales. 'Special all week! - was 6.95, now 6.45.' I'm not kidding. I asked the sales girl if this was a joke and she just laughed and said, 'I know.' signs like that all over the store. Why, if I had had a basket I'll bet I could have saved five or six dollars!

I also love how HSN does shipping/handling charges. For instance, if you buy more than one item in a show, you only pay shipping on the first item - everything else you order is shipped free. This is not an every day thing, just on certain shows. Or, if they have a Beauty Day - you're only charged shipping on the first item you order in a 24-hour period. How cool is that? I'm an ordering fool when they do that.

Agreed. I shopped a bit yesterday but did not buy the one pair of pants I was considering.

HAHAha! I agree. I got some sports waterproof snow boots .Here in southern NC we rarely need them but when we do I am miserable with clunky rubber ones. No more! Love sporto.

I didn't order anything yesterday but some of the markdowns were unbelievably good.

I thought about the Joan Boyce pajamas but the reviews were all over the place regarding the sizing. Some were saying they ran huge, some were saying they ran tight so I just passed.

I did some damage yesterday too. Bought 2 A by adrienne Landau pieces, 2 pair of Vince Camuto boots, yummie leggings and a pair of Hot in hollywood jeans. 3 out of the 6 were on my wish list and I kept looking for the prices to fall. I am excited!

I didn't buy a thing but watched most of the show. I like the way they plow along and don't dwell on one item too long. I like the lack of extraneous chit chat. I did like the pj's but the pink ones disappeared fast.

I agree with the OP. QVC seems to think a "sale" is putting an item on easy pay. Also, there are items from designers that are long gone from the Q, and some of their items are still regular price (Rachel Zoe, for example)!

I've noticed this too!

In contrast, HSN has great clearance prices and I've even caught a couple of items that I purchased within the 30-day price adjustment period...even more money saved!

HSN is fun to shop!

ITA! I like when they do their 5 in 5. Q just seems lately to show the same items over and over and do it all day. As for all the chatter,chit chat, FB blah blah....enough. HSN is how the Q use to be back when it was really fun to shop here.

Whoops. Now that I read this, I did order something.

I ordered the Vince Camuto moto boots in molton brown. I totally forgot about that. I thought about those boots all day and took the plunge late last night.

They really make it impossible to resist! I bought a $199 pair of Vince Camuto leather boots for $69, and a red leather Twiggy jacket for $69 (I already have it in blue and paid $149 for that one on special!). On their wearable items, you only pay the highest shipping, then the rest of the items that day are half price shipping. With their new policy, if you have to return anything (I usually don't), they not only refund the original shipping fee, but the return label fee is given back to you in Spendable Kash!

You do have to keep in mind that the holiday extended return period just ended, so much of what you are buying is from the returns.

HSN must be given credit for the percentage they actually reduce their sale/clearance merchandise. Most items presented were marked down at least 30% off the regular HSN price. This is not really important to our conversation, but in the time slots I watched, other than some footwear, nothing really caught my eye. We all seem to agree though that the prices were run to the phone great if you saw something you liked.

OOH I got those too LipstickDiva. I have a black pair, I don't think they are the Wexle, but very similar, that I purchased at TJ Maxx for $99 (which I thought was great). So I opted for the Lead which has the gunmetal buckle. GREAT price!!! The boots are super comfortable too.
