Anyone deal with an online website that is a scam

First I am not talking about QVC or any of the shopping channels. I ran across a company that appears to sell really nice clothing at a too good to be true price. (I guess that should have been the tip off). Anyway it took 2 months to get what I ordered. And there was a missing item. Customer service is elusive to say the least and Paypal is trying to help. Latest....OFFER FOR 5 DOLLARS BACK AND PUT THE CASE AGAINST THEM TO REST. I should consider myself lucky the missing item was $12.99. However I am wondering if I should keep the case open. I certainly am never going to buy from them again.

You notice I am not revealing the name. I am hoping someone will answer this and have some advice since they too were scammed. The initials are RG. But their might be sister companies.

Report them to your State Attorney General's office. They probably have a consumer protection division.

Yeah, I know. Report them. Agree, only problem advertise here in the US but are based in a foreign country somewhere in Asia. Wondering how that will work. I cannot believe Paypal allows them to use their services. However best thing I did... pay with Paypal. Protection and customer service.

I bought a couple pairs of Alegria shoes from a company called T Shoes, located somewhere in Asia (I'd guess Hong Kong). I placed an order for one pair...order #1291, and a second order an hour later order #1292. That's when I got suspicious. I immediately sent them an email to their "welcome message" and it came back as undeliverable. I waited the 30 days they said it took to get an order and their own website showed it was processing. I sent several more email to various addresses and they responded to none. Thankfully, I'd used Paypal to pay for the order and they came through like champs and got my $120. back. I see they're still in business.

I placed my order last July....it still shows it's "processing".

I was loving the website and all the choices. Losing weight meant I could buy a type of clothing I never really wore before. I am now into 'skinny style' pants with flowing long uneven blouses and sweaters. This company had it all. My new style at what looked like great prices! And I will admit what I got after two months of waiting was flattering on me. However the antics I had to go through to follow "tracking" that did not exist, and the attempts to use the CHAT FEATURE were something out of a comedy skit (only I was not laughing)! When I finally finally got one package... I noticed a whole part of the order was missing. I signed for it thinking it was all there. The other part of the order HAD THE SAME TRACKING NUMBER but was a dead end. When I finally got to CHAT I was told IT WAS AT THE DOCK. It finally arrived but one item was missing. I wrote Paypal and they got retailer to contact me and they said it was not available but when available I would get it but they did not track it.

An hour ago Paypal wrote me and said I could settle for $5 and close the case. However the item was about $12.99 ( a blouse).

The company may have a sister company or two because all the online stores have the same clothes and website design.

There comes a time when $7.99 is considered bought wisdom. Cut your losses and don't get in any deeper. Buy from solid companies, if there are any remaining, so as not to repeat a similar mess.

I never heard of this company, but I just checked FB and three of my FB friends "like" it.

However, I then googled reviews, and although there are some good ones, there are also a lot about not receiving orders, or orders taking months to show up. I generally take reviews with a grain of salt. Sometime people aren't happy because they didn't like something that wouldn't have bothered me at all. But if the complaints are non-delivery, that's a big red flag for me.

My advice: Cut your losses. It's not worth a fight. And only do business with companies you know, or at least companies that you have researched pretty well. I'm sorry this happened to you.

But did you read the comments on the Facebook posts?

Nearly 100% are warnings not to buy and horror stories about experiences.

That makes all those "likes" look suspicious plus I looked at the Better Business Bureau and the rating for this company is a big fat F which is the lowest they give.

I am having the same issue with this company. Ordered one thing in November and still haven't received it. They keep promising it will come any day now...to be patient. Wish I would have researched the company first (seems to be a common theme with this company). I paid via paypal and have opened a dispute and escalated it for payment.

Before I do business with any company, I check the website with a fine tooth comb. If there are numerous typos and grammatical errors, they are more than likely a fly by night scam company.

I absolutely will NOT do business with any company located in China, Hong Kong, etc. I think you are asking for trouble.

I always, always find reviews for the company. And if something is too good to be true, it is.

My guess is this company has so many likes on FB because people had to "like" the page to be able to post the horrible comments.

I have heard of this company and read all the bad reviews. A friend of mine sent me a link to a beautiful clothing item she was thinking of ordering. When I clicked on it, there were tons of reviews that popped up about how bad the company was, sizing was way off, items were never rec'd, etc.

Did you use a credit card through paypal? If so contact them immediately and put a hold on the payment.

Paypal says this is not OK ... but I have done this in the past.

Paypal will certainly work harder to get this resolved and a good credit card company will stand behind you.

I've learned to be very careful even in "clicking around" on shopping sites that come up via search engines like Google. I've had virus warnings to come up when I clicked on unfamiliar fashion sites, particularly some based in foreign countries. I try to stick with familiar names and brands.

I have purchased from that site and did receive the items, but their one size fits all, only fit a seven year old. There is a blog regarding clothing from this site, this woman ordered a bunch of items and when she got them--they fit her 9 year old daughter.

So unless you are a very petite woman, don't do it.

Another site that might qualify is Elizabeth Anne shoes. I ordered a pair of boots last August, they were on back order until December and when I still had not received them by January and could not get a definite delivery date, I cancelled the order. I've not yet seen the refund. Many of their customers were complaining on their FB page and those comments were deleted almost immediately.

I know you used PayPal, but what about contacting your credit card company? This happened to me and my credit card company reimbursed me immediately and then went after the company.

I have heard of that company. It shows up in my Facebook Newsfeed..great looking items..cheap prices. I read the comments. Do not ship..clothing is kids size lol..rip off..so I stayed far away but they had the cutest tops though LOL..

I get that it is only eight bucks..to me it is the principal of the thing...if they do that to 100 people..? I would make Paypal continue the claim and get ALL of my money back

As for the likes..they are either bogus or people LIKE the clothing and prices..and not have dealt with them.
