I have a high waist and I found these to be too low rise for me.

Standing, they fit but bunched at the knees. Sitting was another story......too much butt crack for this girl!

Just curious -- I've watched several presentations of DG2 jeans over the years and have been tempted to try them. I'm fussy about my jeans and I assume these wouldn't work and I'd send them back.

If any of you ladies have worn Diane Gilman jeans, please let me know your opinions. Yay or Nay. I'm interested in the stretch - too much / not enough? Do they bag after wearing for a few hours? Do they survive several washings? Long wearing?

Thank you.

I bought a different pair last year and sent them back because they bunch up the leg. All the way up to the zipper. I wish they weren't so tight to the leg. I don't get that with Jag jeans or Not Your Daughter's Jeans, I do like the look of the TS, but am afraid they will bunch.

I have her regular super stretch skinny jeans and like them a lot. I can't imagine wearing a skinny jean without all the stretch hers offers. Some say they run a little large due to the stretch, but my experience is that they don't "bag out."

My issue is with the silhouette, in general. I'm planning for a warm weather vacation and recently tried on a pair of white boot cut jeans. OMG! They were so much more flattering than my skinny jeans and made me look so slim.

I know retailers are pushing the skinny silhouette, but I can speak from experience and say that it is NOT flattering on everyone.

I have tried at least 4 pairs over the years and they did not work for me. I am 5'10" and the tall do not fit because of the rise. The rise goes above my belly button. The quality so pretty good. I guess if they fit you they might be pretty good. I have a pear shape, so the waist is always too big too and the hips fit. I do not like the panel on the TS because it would add volume to your waist. The panel does look smooth in the pictures it bunches.

I would be embarrassed to tell you how many pairs that I own.

I am picky with jeans also, but I go for comfort just as much as style . ( That changed with aging. ) I am not a size ~0~ , since being in the womb.

My take- The brand runs large, especially the "super-stretch" versions. In BM stores- if it is a super skinny fit - I wear a 10 . IF it is a regular fit - I wear an 8 . In a boyfriend jean , I wear a med , or an 8 . It just always depends on the cut. I like a "fitted jean," but not a "poured in" look.

In super stretch, I wear a 6T. When I first put them on , a perfect fit, but they do stretch out. My true size would be a 4 T- that had been worn.

In other styles, it is a hit /miss. Sizing is anything but consistent. If you find your size, you will love the comfort. Finding your size, is a real pain.

It seems to me the quality is not what it once was, but it is still "decent."

** Also want to add, I am NOT apple shaped, I am hourglass. Have no tummy, but have junk in the trunk. lol

Thanks for your quick responses!

Most of the HSN reviews say to size down. I'm a size 4P - do I really need to go down to a size 2? This is confusing. I'm definitely not an "apple" shape, so that's good information.

Also, the HSN reviews don't mention how they wash or last.

I'm disappointed to hear that they "bunch up" on the legs, even tho I was afraid of that in a fabric that's super stretchy.

Yes -you do need to go down in size with super -stretch . They wash very well, I wash mine inside out in cold and hang to dry. I also have put them in the dryer on delicate and they came out fine.

I had several pair that were not the super stretch, that became too large, as I am hypothyroid and weighed more , until I was diagnosed and given meds. Finally got that stubborn weight back off , so I washed them in hot water ,several times and dried them on high heat . Eventually they did shrink some, but it didn't harm the fabric at all.

I tried some of her jeggings, and really liked the way they fit. I do think her pockets are way too small to be flattering, but that's another matter. I ordered the same size in a couple of other colors and found that her sizing wasn't consistent with regard to that garment, anyway.

IMO, there are very few women who can pull off the look of a skinny jean. I am most assuredly among those who can not pull off the look. In fact I would not even attempt them without immediate psychological therapy afterwards! LOL!!! Anyway, what about her boot cut jeans? Anyone have experience with this cut in DG2? This is what looks best on me and have been indecisive about ordering these from DG2.

I find her jeans run inconsistently from style to style. And even within the same style from color choice to color choice! I never buy them when first introduced, I wait for reviews so I can use that info (along with the listed measurements) to gauge the sizing better.

twocent your body sounds like mine and I am have Hashimotos also and finally lost 10 lbs so all my size 8 are a bit loose. My question is how is the fit in the thigh? I have a booty which I think the seam placing on this TSV will help but I also have a bigger muscular thigh. I think I will order the 6 but do not want them at all if they are slim in the thigh.

I love her jeans, although the fit is not as consistent as I'd like. Her corduroy jeggings are among my go-to's for the winter, and I have jean trousers and several skinnies in taupe/neutrals.

Some posters say they gap in the waist. My waist is 28 hips 38 and I like her size 8, although DG would say wear a 6 and make them stretch. I just don't like things that tight. When my weight's a bit lower I fit into a 6, so I have one or two in the size and the rest are 8's.

My faves by her are enzyme-washed in the lighter colors - they're very SOFT!

ETA - I've never tried the super stretch.

I am very hard to fit in jeans. When I find a pair I need to buy more than one. I tried hers I liked them. But it was awhile back and since I have lost weight. My personal preference has been Costco all along.(Gloria Vanderbilt) Never fails me, always fits, comfortable... and they have the petites I need. They cost me about $20 give our take a dollar or two and I cannot wear them out. Very proud of myself of course. Gone from size 14 to size 10 and hopefully I will make the 8 and stop. I am five feet tall so you can only imagine all the fun I have had buying jeans over the years.

I find the main problem with her jeans is the fade factor. The dark black will go gray, and the dark brown will go to a camel color. It is unfortunate because they don't stretch out and are quite comfortable. I wear a size 10 or 12 in her jeans depending on the style, however with the fading problem I won't buy anymore unless it is a pale color to begin with. For dark jeans I love NYDJ, they do not fade one bit.

On 1/31/2015 nikkimom said:
twocent your body sounds like mine and I am have Hashimotos also and finally lost 10 lbs so all my size 8 are a bit loose. My question is how is the fit in the thigh? I have a booty which I think the seam placing on this TSV will help but I also have a bigger muscular thigh. I think I will order the 6 but do not want them at all if they are slim in the thigh. Thanks much

Hi nikkimom! This darn thyroid is no fun, is it? IT isn't as if when you start meds the weight just disappears and melts away.

Let me again state , her sizing can be inconsistent even in the same style - different colors ! Of course I haven't experienced the TS offered today, but I have several styles of her regular jeans, and many pair of her skinny jeans. Based on all, I find them to be generous in the thigh area. Especially the super -stretch , so unless you are a body builder like I wish I was **sigh** I think you will be fine.

I know when I hear "skinny jean" - I think "model body" and I might as well forget it. But this brand is one that is very generous in the sizing of skinny jeans. They really stretch. Some ladies like the less forgiving true denim material and don't care for this fabrication.

It has been my experience also that the "fashion colors" are cut smaller than the denim choices. In the denim choices, sometimes the chambray runs larger than indigo , with the black running smallest of the three denim choices.

I know , it is a PITA .

I always reach for either this brand or Style& Co from Macys. Have you ever tried their "Curvy fit ?" They run generous in sizing , also.

I did buy myself some Juniors Arizona destructed bibs from JCP last Summer to wear while doing yard work and my daily activities with my 6 dogs . I just love them. They fit well in size med. I am 36DD (not bragging , just more to fall to the floor here shortly) and have hips and a smaller waist, so buying clothing can be a challenge. Button down shirts and a good fitting jean ,can be hard to find.

Plus they stretched out so much that by the end of the day I was continually pulling them up.
