I love winter coats....I love snazzy winter boots.....I love Laplander style hats!

I love being outside in the winter....I love being in the barn with my horse....

I love sleeping with the window open during the winter.....

I love being in Michigan to enjoy the winter!

Me, I dislike being cold. I especially don't like air conditioning. I like snazzy boots though. I love horses but I don't have one. I've wanted once since I was a young girl. And, believe it or not, I love sleeping with the window opened a crack - even in the winter.

I, too am a fellow Michiganian (I don't like the word Michigander). Michigan is a beautiful state all year long. It's nice to meet someone else who loves the cold. I love the crispness, the feeling of invigoration, the snow. I get excited when the weather starts to change in September as fall is my favorite time of year and knowing the heat will be gone. Snow on the trees is so beautiful. If it doesn't snow by mid December I get bummed. Enjoy!

Fall is my favorite season, there is nothing like the Midwest in the fall.

Best winter day is after a big snowfall. The whole world looks black and white, the trees with all the snow on the branches. It is pretty during the winter.

Absolutely! What part of Michigan are you at? I'm in Detroit and it is coming back, I do believe Duggan is the answer.

Me too I live in jersey now yet I dream of the day when I move to new hampshire to enjoy thw winters up there maybe it's because I am a winter baby or because the sight of snow makes everything seem so quiet

while I enjoy the snow(as long as it doesn't stick around for weeks) I don't think I would want winter all the time. I prefer spring and fall though over summer since I don't like humidity at all.

I live in Michigan. But I really pretty much despise the cold and Winter. Even though we are moving, full time, to our cottage up north. As soon as Labor Day hits I start counting the days till Memorial Day! We have our cottage on Lake Charlevoix, have a little wooden classic boat, have a classic car. So all these things mentioned have a shelf life of Summer only! But even as I grew up I favored Summer months. Love the heat, love even the humidity! I'm not noticing this Winter much since I've been busy getting the house ready to put for sale.

I love the winter as well. Fall is the best season, then comes winter. Spring is too messy and the humidity starts with all the rain. Then summers are way too humid. Since i've gotten older i just cant stand the humidity (cant seem to breath in it and i do like to breath!)

I like when its snowing and the quietness of it all too (like someone else mentioned). I live in a small town and when we get alot, everything kind of comes to a standstill. Snow days for the kids are always fun as well. Its like a really great "treat" for them and it doesnt cost a thing!

And the very best part of winter, is No bugs!!

MI is the place for you. I'll never leave WI, but I'm not as fond of winter. Liked it as a kid and still like watching the falling snow if I don't have to go out in it.

I used to feel the same way. I couldn't wait until winter and loved being out in the cold especially cross-country skiing. Now? I dread it. I also intensely dislike the heat.

I love cold weather, too! I really don't like it getting dark so early in the day, however. I'd love to live in a cold climate where it stays daylight until 9pm! LOL. By the way, I live in a large Southeastern city, so my winters are generally very mild.

I too love the cold weather and snow and have always felt this way. I despise heat and humidity and only feel "alive" in the fall and winter months. It is so nice to know that other people feel that way also. My favorite memories of growing up revolve around the winter months, when, back then, I am sure we had much more snow. The ice-skating, the sledding, the smell of the air, etc -

Still looking for that perfect place to move to - long winters, cold weather, snow - many of the locales suggested still have hot weather or midnight sun. Any suggestions?

I live in S. WI. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I hate hot weather too. We had no snow for Christmas, so that was a bummer. We can still see green grass in our yard. We might get a little snow on Sunday.

I used to like the cold until I moved to an area that gets it's share of negative temps. It's no fun when it's -35 out, wearing layers gets old fast.

I hear you. I like the cold too - we get as low as teens and single digits - but probably would tire of it pretty quickly at your temps! One advantage of liking cold is that I save a lot on the heating (gas) bill.

I'm from Michigan but in Alaska now. Just went through a week of minus temps but not much snow. I meet lots of Michigan folks here. It's become a bit of a joke.
