Huggable Hangers

Any one have problem with color transfer to clothes from these hangers? I just opened a package I ordered (dark pink) and there is pink all over the inside of the plastic bag. I want to use them but I'm afraid the color will transfer to the clothing. I've have some from several months ago but they are ivory color.

No issues . I have tons of the red- with several other colors , but no pink .

I think I would slightly dampen a clean cloth and see if the color transferred to it -before I hung my clothing. If it does, I would call CS and tell them I want to send them back as "defective." They will waive shipping and send a new color out if you prefer , or refund.

No issues here, either. I have some in black. No problem there. The other colors I have are grey, lavender, and a dark teal. I've never had the inside of the bag covered with color, though. Twocent' s suggestion sounds good.

No issues with color transfer. Have had a few where the hanger top part came off the hanger.

Yes, I have had a few do that .

To be fair , thanks to dh's doing a load of laundry - I have also had one come out of the washer , none the worse for wear!

All the hangers in all my closets are now the Huggable kind.... some are knock offs from Costco. Never had a problem. Once or twice the hanger breaks off but it is not all that often.

NEVER had a Huggable Hanger color transfer to clothing and I use mine for line drying clothing. I've hung wet white on burgundy.

I won't say this happens frequently, but I've had a top pop off the hanger. This never happened before Joy and her team made the heads able to swivel. Originally the tops were locked down and did not twist around.

If you are talking about Joy M.'s hangers, I have the dark brown and do not have problems with color transfer.

All my hangers are bright turquoise and I've never had color transfer.

Are you perhaps seeing fibers? My lavender and black hangers do not transfer color, but they break VERY easily. That's why you get so many - so you won't squawk!

The color was coming off on my hands when I ran them over the hanger, so I took a damp papertowel and went around each hanger a couple times. Some color did come off at first, but I kept wiping them until they were clean and I got no color. It's such a hassle to return things that large, so I thought I would try and clean them off first. I hang lots of clothing up when I wash ... I don't dry most of my good clothing so I was worried the wet clothing would absorb the color.

I purchased the linen color hangers just because I do hang up clothes damp quite often. I just did not want to take the risk. From what I have heard from my daughters and friends though, the color does not transfer.

Never had a problem and I have black, navy, lavender, medium pink, etc. I really like these hangers.

I have all Joy's hangers for the last 5 years or so. I think I have had 2 snap and break, but my closet is pretty jammed full and I was pulling to get something out. I think my first order was a little sturdier than the later orders. I wish I would have ordered a huge amount the first time so I could have all the same color. I did buy some at Target, but they are still the JM hangers.

I have used Joy's hangers for some years now - in fact I got them when she first started selling them and I think then they were ALL maroon or light blue. I have had only a very few break but did not upset me as I am rough on hangers. Am way too old now to replenish but I really like them.

Never had one break. But one of the new ones in this package had a very sharp spot on the top. I put tape over it so it won't snag my clothing.

I have well over 100 of Joy's hangers in the color black. I've never had any trouble with color transfer and I've had them for many years. I've hung wet clothes to dry on them also.

I've read though her recent ones are lesser quality. Color transfer on the bag is not a good sign.
