Did Amy Stran sing on air?

I heard that Amy Stran sang on air. When was that and what was the occasion? I never watch her but I'm just curious why a host would sing a song during a presentation. Sounds strange.

I have not seen her recently, but a while back when I was watching she did sing ... I believe it was with one of the Frozen presentations ...

And I also remember reading somewhere that she had a career as a singer before she came to QVC ... I did not check her profile, which might be a good idea ...

She had poll asking viewers to post the theme song that would play as you enter a room. Every so often she read a post and would sing a line from that song. To my ear she is like most of us, a shower singer, but she was having fun and livining up the presentation.

It was the beginning of a show that started at 5:00 p.m. Monday. She sang a few lines from several songs, and it appeared she would continue doing it throughout the show, so I changed the channel.

QVC should start reining the hosts in, they are out of control.......................what a difference on HSN. Too bad they do not have the quality clothes that QVC as.

I am so sick of the inane chatter, ignorant remarks, like the Shawn moon nonsense. Not so bad what she said, it was her justifying it, and bringing Congress into the discussion.

I did look on her profile ... here is what I found ...

Amy Stran joined QVC in February 2009 as a program host. You may remember seeing her on soap operas All My Children and One Life to Live or as the host of Premium TV, a show promoting cable networks. She earned a bachelor’s degree in theater from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina.

I like Amy, but no matter how much I might like a host, the singing, Happy Dancing, giggling, dumb faces, shaking booties, Karate kicks, and all the other stuff that has nothing to do with shopping, have driven me away, probably for good. Hoping Kathy Levine does a better job.

Can't these people just give us the information we need, show us the merchandise, and then shut up? If I want I Loe Lucy or The Three Stooges, Ill tune in to them.

I can't tell you exactly what or where. I think Shop HQ which some say is called Evine. You can read more about it on other posts. I'm definitely no expert on the other channels, but if Kathy is going to be doing something I hope it has more sophistication, more shopping and far less goofiness.

Some people enjoy the change, the escape from the mundane. Learn to love life. Learn to love what others enjoy and when they want to entertain you. People who entertain you do it because they are showing you their happiness and love for their audience. Learn to enjoy and love more.

That's my real reason for not watching HSN except when I surf past. However, when I have stopped in, I'm not impressed with their hosts much at all. They cackle, they simper, or they just bore me to death. Might as well be reciting a catalog which I can read for myself.

Free shipping they have more often. Too bad I don't want to pay for what they ship.

It seems like you are trying to ramp up a simple question into something negative. I never see Amy because she is never on when I watch. I was simply interested in seeing if I could find out when so I could hear her sing on a product video perhaps. I'm guessing she sings pretty well or she would not have done it.

I would like to know the answer to was it the whole song or just a line and so would others.

You are always so negative about others questions like they do not matter or are unjustified.

I get tons of channels on my t.v. I enjoy some and ignore others. My choice. When I'm hungry, I go to a restaurant. When I'm tired I go home to bed. When I need a new dress I shop where dresses are sold. When I watch a shopping channel I do so because I have an interest in buying something. I don't watch for music, family stories, or dancing, booty shaking or karate kicks. If you want to be a singer, try out on American Idol. A dancer? Got lots of choices . . So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With the Stars? But if you're on a shopping channel, show me the merchandise, tell me about it, and I'll decide. I don't buy from you because you can sing, dance, or have remarkable children. If you want to entertain me, then just do your job well.

And please be assured I do love life - I don't think I could possibly be any more blessed or happier. In the overall scheme of life, I am one of the truly fortunate ones. But I hope your advice helps someone.
