ANYBODY ELSE READY TO THINK SPRING/SUMMER FASHIONS?

I shouldn't complain, because it hasn't been a horrible winter. But, I am ready to get my spring and summer wardrobe in order. I find that I am a terrible after season sale shopper. I simply don't have the patience to forage for a deal.

I am ready to turn my attention to warm weather clothes. I want my sandals!

I agree! Although we have had a bad winter in my part of the country I think I have purchased my last sweater. And I don't need another pair of boots!

Hi Magic. I hope you are having a great week. I'm not a "Spring/Summer" fashion type of "gal". I much prefer fall/winter fashions. I have so many pairs of boyfriend jeans, crops, etc. that I really don't have anything I need to buy. I don't buy much from Anthropologie in the Summer as I won't pay the high prices for lightweight cotton shirts, etc. I'll probably still pick up cute athletic-type wear from Lululemon, but I have nothing really on my wish list.

I don't think I spend much on Spring/Summer fashion compared to Fall/Winter. I don't buy boots in the Spring/Summer so that saves me quite a bit, LOL.

I may pick up a few scarves, but even at that...I have quite a collection, and nothing really stands out now in the stores. Everything is picked over, and I'm not into the Spring fashions. I rarely wear shorts so I certainly don't need to buy them. I have plenty of Logo tops to get me though the Spring months that I'd wear with crops, etc.

I always enjoy the change of seasons in clothing - curious to see what is being offered. But I am enjoying cooler weather right now and thus not ready for spring and summer. Our summers have been so wretchedly hot and muggy I don't want it to come too soon - not even the clothing.

Hi win! Maybe if I had as many cute coats as you I would feel differently!

I just get so sick of layering and having to wear sensible boots and always making sure I have my gloves, a scarf and a hat. I think I am ready to lighten my load!

No! It's still Jan and spring is months away, planning for it too early only depesses me. Also, if I buy things months before I can wear them, I tend to forget I have them. I start thinking about spring in late Feb, early March. We have had a goodcwinter, I'm grateful for that. Frigid but no serious snow. Just a few inches, so far.

Yes, spring/summer fashions are definitely on my mind! We've had a couple of very nice, spring-like days. But the rest of the week will turn cold and rainy. Darn!

I picked up three cashmere sweaters on sale from Talbots recently, so I'm in good shape as far as sweaters are concerned. I have already been thinking ahead to spring and reviewing what I wore last year. Fortunately, last year I bought two spring cashmere sweaters in periwinkle blue and blush nude that I look forward to wearing again. Same with the grass green cashmere twinset. My office is cold and I love having the warmth of the sweaters while transitioning to a more spring-like color palette.

Today Talbots sent out a "sneak preview" to the February offerings, and I was delighted to see more of the faux-wrap tops I love so much. I bought four colors last fall and will pick up a couple more colors for spring. These tops are so versatile for me. As usual, I would like to find some cute tops and cardigans to wear with jeans. I would also like to find a new skirt or two to wear to work and church. I didn't find any last year. And I MUST find some new light tan wedge sandals!!!

What's on your wish list for spring?

Yes, magic. Thanks to our 50s weekend weather, and my trip to Phoenix next month, I'm thinking spring and summer colors. I gave away many handbags last year. Would love to find a spring, Dooney green bag at a reasonable price. Half the fun is the search.

I do enjoy my jackets and scarves and favorite coats, but ...

I had four layers on today!! That's nuts! I just hate being cold, but driving wearing 4 layers-not thin tanks either, is not comfortable!

What's on your wish list for spring?

maddie, you just had to bring up cashmere sweaters! I actually put my elbow through 2 of my cashmere sweaters this winter. I do have bony elbows, but I take such good care of my sweaters I can't believe this happened!

I am planning on incorporating more skirts and dresses in my wardrobe for spring and summer. I get so tired of mostly wearing pants during the winter months for warmth that I am ready to make some changes. I also feel my winter wardrobe is not quite as feminine as I would like and I believe skirts and dresses will help!

maddie, I have become devoted to Jennifer Scott's blog. She has truly inspired. Thank you so much for bringing her to my attention.

I don't like hot weather, so I am enjoying wearing my nice fleece coats/ jackets & boots. DH & I are going to a lovely resort in Mexico for 8 days in March. I looked at my summer clothes last week & I don't need 1thing extra in my wardrobe right now. Right now our weather for WI is nice.

Oh I despise cold weather! I HATE every single part of winter! As soon as Labor Day hits I'm already counting down the days until next Memorial Day! I'm such a Summer gal! So much so, we are actually moving to our summer home on our most favorite lake! Once I'm living there I will always want Summer to stay forever! My winter wardrobe are just things to keep me warm, no fashion whatsoever. Hate Winter!

Spring/Summer clothing catalogs are already coming my way, so yes it gets me thinking about warm weather clothing. I get so tired of all the black, grey and dark colors during the Winter months, so seeing all the pretty bright colors gets me in the mood! Also wondering what new styles will be coming....
