If I told you all of the QVC clothes I've had to send back you'd put me in a house for crazies. Really, over and over. Mostly the sleeves are way, way too long.

I am so tired of these sleeves! No one has arms this long. Everything I ordered last year fitted great. I never had any trouble with the sleeves.

What's going on? I've decided to just stop ordering for awhile. I'm tired of going to the post office and returning all of this stuff.

Don't get me started on the sizing. I just tried on a pair of pants I'd ordered (jeans). They were on last call (getting rid of them).

I tried them on and they were mismarked. I know because I measured the waist and hips. I used to sew my own clothes so I know how to do it.

QVC you need to get your act together.

Lately I've had to fold up the sleeves so high they almost hit my elbow.

I am done buying clothing from Denim &co. The sizing is so inconsistent anymore. It used to be reliable, but now the XS becomes a S and now a M? And do women who wear a M rather than a S really have arms that much longer? What has happened to the QC with QVC?

Ego sizing again I guess. This is definitely one reason I don't order clothing anymore. I've always worn a large in most of the QVC brands because I don't like close fitting things on me anymore. Now I seem to be a medium in some things. I finally just gave up.

Between the inconsistent sizing in clothing, and the silliness on kitchen and other non-clothing shows, I just can't waste my time watching anymore. Sometimes I flip through for a few, but I never stop for long. I love not having any bills to pay and no QVC items to return.

When I go to Dillard's and try clothing, I find the same situation; it's not just Denim & Co. There are many variables that can effect sizing, the fabric, dye, the position in a stack being cut. It's part of buying clothing. If it's a serious issue for you, you'd probably be happier shopping at a B&M store.

This is the reason that I order clothing very rarely from QVC. The only item that I find pretty consistent in sizing is Denim & Co. original 2 pocket elastic waist pants/crop pants/capris. About 90% of the time they fit, but I have had problems with certain colors in that line. When I do order clothing, I hold my breath that it will fit, after checking and double checking the measurements. If it's an item that I cannot find anything similar in the stores, I take a chance with ordering. However, as stated in a post above, I also have problems with clothing in the stores being inconsistent in sizing. Clothing sizes nowadays are at least 1 to 2 sizes smaller than they were years ago, meaning that I have had to go up 1-2 sizes to get the same fit of the clothing that I purchased at least 5 years ago. I have come to the conclusion that it is not me, but the manufacturers. I refuse to wear clothing tight to my body, so I bite the bullet and go up at least one size.

I've had my share of inconsistent sizing problems. I cut back a lot and have had a better success rate lately. Not sure if it's just luck or because I pay more attention to measurements and how the garment moves in the video. I just received a couple tops today and they were perfect.

A261548 I thought this was adorable for casual wear and like French terry. I figured since it was petite the sleeves would not be too long --wrong. I loved the pockets and princess seaming. I usually order a large online as I am busty and I went over the measurements several xs and concluded a L would be right. I received it yesterday and it is just too huge to be attractive so I will lose on sh&h but do not wish to gamble with an exchange for M. I hate returning items but do not wish to pay a high price for something to look unattractive.

I guess I should amend my thoughts to include all manufacturers and acknowledge that each and every one has sizing issues. Years ago I could buy clothing and shoes without the need to try anything on. Today that idea would be totally stupid. I wear anything from an 8 to a 14 in clothing and in shoes a 6.5 to an 8. So today it makes much better sense for me to shop at B&M stores than ordering online.

Truth be known, my main problem with ordering clothing from QVC is I am tired of having to go through the motions of returning something and having to pay almost $7.00 to return something that should have fit but didn't.

I agree with annabellethecat, who said that the sleeves are always too long. They usually come down past my fingertips. This isn't usually true in the B&M stores.

Sizing generally, as well as inconsistent sizing and changes in sizing between back-in-stock runs, is why I have never bought clothing from QVC. To begin with, I have never been one who could purchase off the rack without trying on. Add to that QVC's tendency to over-size everything in their own brands so that a person who routinely wears a 12 in mainstream b&m stores will wear 8-10 in QVC sizes, the different sizing from vendor lines, AND the shipping charges and time wasted shipping wrongly-sized items to-and-fro, and I'm just not willing to bother to try. Not to mention most of their own lines are overpriced. It's just zero incentive to me.

It isn't just the Q. Several years ago, a tailor told my dh that he had to try on all 3 pairs of pants that he was buying to figure out alterations on each one, even though they were the same pants. The reason? He said it was NAFTA. Manufacturers are allowed to have a 2 inch variance either way, yet call something the same size. In other words, you can have something in a size 8, & one can be 2 inches smaller, and another 2 inches larger! Even manufacturers who used to be more consistent, are within the rules for sizing.

Gosh, I thought I was the only one having sizing problems with D&C. I am a large gal and in the past always wore a large, now I have to size up and sometimes get a medium. Quality control is not what it used to be and return fees add up.

Brand doesn't seem to matter this problem is throughout the clothing industry now. Quality control has gone away!

I literally have dozens upon dozens of garments, many in different colors of the same item, and this has never happened to me. I think people exaggerate shamelessly on these "let's criticize Denim & Co." threads.

Like you, I have dozens of garments (D&C), all purchased over the last few years, but the items I purchased in 2013 & 2014 were poorly sized and I had to exchange or return. I certainly would not post just to be critical.
