I want to cry when I see the Denim & Co tops. I've been buying this line for 15 years and nothing I see makes me want to buy. I try and return every top I purchase. I am now 77 and there are not tops for me. I don't want V-necks in the winter, I want warm crew and fleece. I had beautiful fleecy more dressy look 4 or 5 years ago and they were beautiful, so many comments. They were soft fleecy tone on tone embroidered roses all over. I had a soft pink and a red. I lost my husband and went into deep depression for over a year and lost a lot of weight. I had to give up those tops because they were so big. That is what I need for winter. Pretty tops and warm. Solid and more on the dressy side NOT SPORTY. PLEASE. I DON'T SEE ONE TOP IN THE LINE THAT I WOULD BUY. I love Denim & Co. I know the size I wear and I don't want to look somewhere else, I want my Denim & Co. back. Stop designing for just the young and so sporty, PLEASE.

This is a perfect example that we don't all want the same thing no matter our age. I am in mid 60'sand personally I want sporty, not dressy, tops & I also wear v neck all year. D&C works well for me most of the time although the prices are getting to be a little too high.

I am 64 years old and for years loved D&C. No more. I am getting "priced out" for what in most cases is a simple tee-shirt, blouse or sweater. Add to that the slow and ridiculously expensive shipping, and I have taken my shopping elsewhere.

As an aside, I think the programming for this Christmas season is beyond silly. Way too many electronics. Every time I tune in they are selling either a camera or laptop. Please..........

I agree with you ladies- the Denim and Co. tops were so pretty and feminine - now they are nothing special, yet cost much more. Maybe there is another clothing line that would be more appropriate for older ladies, yet modest in price and look

For the OP - I recommend looking at Blair.com. An AMERICAN company and they sell a lot of nice fleece - not just sporty - pretty tops. I am a kinda girly girl and I'm not too much into the sporty clothes thing either.

Luv, first, I am sorry you were going through a rough time.

While I'm not familiar with Denim & Co, one of my former favorite designers completely changed his style of design over the last few years. I had to start from scratch with a new designer line. I'm glad I did, because now I have a different, but still stylish, look.

Grandma luv, I have a suggestion for you. Try A51240. It says it's made from chenille, but it is every bit as warm as fleece. It is fitted, so looks good enough to wear to work, etc. I have a LOT of these tops!!! I wear my size (fitted) when I want to go out, but have these in a size up when I just want to hang around the house! They come in a lot of colors, too!

I agree. Looks like all boxy, long tunic with a huge scarf STUCK In the V-neck. The chenille tee looks good, but it still is too high at $31. with almost $7. S&H plus tax. I add on $l0. after price. I just got a great tee from LLBean. It was a crew neck, well made, tee that looks good alone or under anything. A little longer than the D&C chenille tee. It cost $l9.99; LLBean gave me a $l0. coupon and free S&H. Now that's should be expected this time of year. It's ridiculous to pay $41. for a simple tee at the Q. Look around, Grandma. You'll find exactly what you're looking for and find a decent price.

It's not just being priced out - the tops with the boat necks, low front necklines (v neck and scoops) just aren't appropriate to me for winter. Maybe if I could be 25 again, which I wouldn't want, I could find a way to wear them, but frankly I don't want these, not even in the summer. I like a neat crew neck or a minimal scoop, never a boat neck.

So I don't worry about the prices because I'm not buying anyway.

Grandma Luv, I feel so bad for you. Perhaps you might want to take a look at this velour pant outfit on HSN. My Mom, is 87 very difficult to shop for and needs to dress warmly. I bought her this in the blue and she loved it! I ordered the red for her Christmas gift. $44 for 2 pieces and it's soft and cozy.

I'm sorry you're disappointed in D&C's current offerings. Times and styles do change; I imagine D&C is offering more of the kinds of things that are selling well nowadays. I hope they'll offer some things that appeal to you and meet your needs, but I'd really encourage you to try shopping some other sellers in the meantime! L.L. Bean, Land's End, and others may have styles you'll like, and you can shop online for convenient home shipping. Most of us have had the unhappy experience of seeing favorite items disappear from the inventory of our usual stores. We can either whine and give up -- or we can saddle up our ponies and go find what we really want! If you can't find it here, you can probably find it somewhere else!

I wonder if you might like some of these items from Draper and Damon's? They have some very ladylike dressy/casual items.

I loved D and C everything was so reasonably priced, but now it is just getting too expensive. I realize that everything increases in price but when you add in the shipping it is just too much for casual clothes. I work in retail so I guess I will just have to purchase from my store.
