cancelled my Lamo boots

I finally received the email about the lack of quality control on the Lamo boots (TSV Oct 31). I decided to cancel because 1., don't know when they'd be back in stock and 2., don't know if I can count on the quality.

It's a disappointment because winter, with snow, is fast approaching the Midwest and I thought I'd be covered, but guess I'll just have to keep looking for warm boots.

I think you did the right thing. QVC's e-mail to customers, is sketchy at best. I have never heard of any retailers directing either UPS or the post office to NOT deliver to the customer, but to return the item. I have a feeling the problem is far more serious than packaging or quality control.

What is scary is that there are people that got them. Those people are not complaining about the packaging or saying the got the wrong size (I am doubting the whole size mismark thing). Those people have the right to know what is up with the boots they own and we have a right as purchasers, so we can make a good decision on if we want to wait until this issue is resolved or not.

I don't go in for wait list orders because sometimes

I shop on impulse and by the time 45 days are up

I may not even want those items.

I just cancelled mine too. I don't trust the story QVC is peddling. To not let packages be delivered? Maybe those particular boots are fine?

It sounds to me like a crack in the QVC/Lamo contract may have showed up, and now they just sent all the boots back to the vendor (which would be why they would be trying to intercept deliveries).

I like the boots, but do not trust they will ever fulfill the quantity they sold that day. Some deliveries did slip through and those people seem happy with the boot, so to me, that is indicative of larger problem (not packaging or quality).

The Q needs to get honest with us.

I'm not cancelling. I'm doubting I get them, but I want my pink Lamos if they come. I'm ticked that I don't know "why". Their "story" is b.s.

I don't think QVC gives a flying fig if we cancel or not. I'm keeping my order intact to see what happens.

I cancelled mine too. I didn't like the vague email I received. Disappointing as I thought they were really cute-I chose the gray ones. I have 2 pairs of Lamo boots I purchased last year and they are the most comfortable warm boots I have, very happy with them.

Of course, it is a wonderment to get a good suede boot for 40 bucks. Maybe, they are made from pink rats. Just kidding; I'm not canceling my order!

I am in the same mindset -- I don't want to cancel them at this price until I have more information. Hope we find out what is going on soon!

Win... In case you are interested, Emu's carry a hot pink color in their Stinger mini boots. They are available from shoebacca dot com or backcountry dot com. Definitely more money than the Lamos, but I totally love my Emus. I beat the tar of of my boots winter after winter and my grey pair is on it's third winter. I just took them out of summer storage and they look great. A plus for the Emus over Uggs is that they have a wider footbed. Great for people with wide feet or those that like to wear the thicker boot socks with them.

Just an option in case the Lamos fall through.

I never received an email but mine were shipped and then ordered returned. I was of course charged for the first easy pay and had to pay my bill today so I paid the payment on boots I might never receive. It makes me mad if they are going to ask for them to be returned then we should have been credited the minute they did that. Now if I never get the boots I am stuck with a credit. I have only ordered three items this entire year so who knows how long it will take me to find something else I want to use up what I just paid. Ugh!

Oh Patty that stinks. So you are out the money anyway because now you are forced to buy something to zero out your CC again? Ouch.

Watch out April! The mailman might come take them right off your feet hahaha! You got lucky getting yours.

This is a really ridiculous issue, not something I would expect from the Q. I have been with them since their old name and have never seen this happen.

Hi what budget(love your nic, lol). If there was some "chemical" on them, the few that preordered weeks before would have had several major recall notices explaining there was a "health hazard" with them. I doubt that is the case.
