WOW!

Hoping this means next year we get navy, charcoal, walnut, maybe red!

And thus the explanation of why you have to buy as soon as you see a Linea item you want or take a chance you may not see it again ... or at least for another year.

I still don't have my extra large Linea haul delivered yet. Supposed to be sometime today. But I only ordered one color of the swing sweater. sigh

But all in all...got a lot of wonderful stuff from LDO from late summer thru his last visit in October. I have a nice wardrobe to choose from....but it is a drag that the swing sweater is gone, gone, gone. I would love this in navy, red, aqua and I didn't order the black.

Double dang.

I know, but keep watching as there will be returns. There always are.

First off-- stick with your usual Linea size in WK tops-- mine is a Small. This top is very nice in Louis' olive and the mulberry is a nice purple shade.

________________________________________________________

Measurements for Small taken from the garment on a flat surface like a table:

Chest 1" below armhole 19" = 38" circumference

HighPointShoulder 13" from that area is where the garment tapers inward that measurement from side to side is 18" = 36" circumference

Sleeve length from where it meets shoulder 23.5"

Cross back from where sleeves join the back of garment side/side about 4.5" from HPS is 14.5"

Garment sweep-- bottom of the garment from side to side 30" =60" circumference

_________________________________________________________

The garment's swing area has a asymmetrical hem which has its points on the side of your body and not down your front or back.

Keepers!!

It looks like the sides come down longer in points, does this accentuate the hips like Lori goldstein (which I hate)?

Measurement of point sides vs shorter sides: taken from below the armpit where the sleeve joins the body of the garment 21" vs. 19" -- the shorter measurement is taken from the front side of the garment and the longer measurement is taken with the sleeve upraised on the table and the measurement is from the armpit to the point tip.

I don't own any of the LOGO garments so I cannot make the comparison between this piece and Lori's garments. But looking at the LOGO garments online, this looks like a LOGO 'light' with not so deep points. I hope this is not as clear as mud!

It doesn't expand outward like a flounce would. The goring makes it glide against the hips. Terrible photo of the point online here! Should have had the model stand a little to the side to see the point instead of a closeup of the point!

Jazz, thanks for posting. I see the sweater is now at a featured price. I'm wondering if it will be on easy pay come Monday. Anyhow, you said to order our regular size.....on this one, the chest measurement for my regular size of 1X is 1/2 inch SMALLER than the XL. Not sure why. Anyhow, is there plenty of room? I see that the chest measurement is about 3 inches smaller than the boyfriend cardigan I just received, which fits great (little roomy). Just want to make sure this swing sweater doesn't run small. Thanks!

Thanks for review JJM. It looked like the points at sides were not too long as to make one look overly hippy. I ordered my regular size and am hoping it works for me...cuz I sure love that mulberry color.

Since I'm on west coast...probably won't see my sweater for another 10 days or so. Seems like it takes forever and a day to get stuff to Seattle.

Between the lack of "click here" measurements and QVC's product photos where the model is drowning in the wrong size, I was completely at a loss about the fit of this sweater.

Enjoy yours and thanks, again!

With those and your description, I feel more confident ordering. Between the lack of "click here" measurements and QVC's product photos where the model is drowning in the wrong size, I was completely at a loss about the fit of this sweater.

Enjoy yours and thanks, again!

You're welcome, many_hosta!

On 10/25/2014 WNYgal said:
On 10/25/2014 Goldie76 said:
Thanks, JJM. You know me, I'm all about the olive pieces this season. "Make hay while the sun shines," as they say.

Goldie, don't you mean olive oil?

As always, you slay me, WNYgal. I grew up in a community that was totally agrarian-based until the 1970s. It's funny, a couple weeks ago I went back for a visit, and it isn't as though I haven't noticed the gentrification that was done to save the town over the past several decades, but something pushed me over the edge this last time. As I described it, you would have thought this original German settlement had become Paris, what with every restaurant, it seemed, having an outdoor eating area that you had to navigate, block after block. And, of course, there were dogs on a leash everywhere you looked. I'm not against progress or dogs, but something seemed really off.

Well, The Washington Post covers the metro area, and my once small town is part of that coverage. Had to laugh because a recent story covered the upcoming local town election for sheriff (I think), and many locals are fed up with the "liberal, wine-swilling, outdoor dining" folks who have had the audacity to put up one of their own. (I am writing this tongue-in-cheek, just to be clear.) His opponent is a buck-hunting local who challenged the new guy to slay a buck, if he had the ability or whatever.

I am not as bad as the buck-slayer, but I guess I sensed something really different.

Anyway, I grew up with "make hay while the sun shines," "up Goose Creek without a paddle" and "down the road a piece."
