Lisa & the PM Style Crew

Lisa posted on FB that the entire PM Style crew wore black tonight because they are all in mourning of her departure. While that's nice, I'm already beginning to really dislike all this hoopla over her leaving and just wish her departure was this month instead of 2 months from now. So much fanfare! But I suppose this was her motive all along and that's why she chose to announce it early. Furthermore, it's been noted QVC made LR remove her FB post on her Lisa Robertson QVC page yesterday that Lisa told everyone to join her on her new page. Was there yesterday and gone today. Interesting. I too thought it was in poor taste.

This is one of the saddest posts yet I have seen about Lisa's departure. Let me understand, please:

1. Lisa posted on her new FB page (that you either went to, or like) about leaving and you are now mocking her? Not her QVC page. Don't go there if you don't like her. And certainly don't use it to bash her here now on the QVC page. Let the woman have a life and leave it alone.

2. You are guessing she chose to announce it early. She has been with the company for 20 years. She, or someone decided exactly two months was the right amount of time to say goodbye. Two months notice is nothing when you have been with a company for that long and want to go out gracefully. She has shows planned including a TSV coming. She is their top earner and I suspect they are not in a rush to alienate those of us who do like her. If they wanted her gone now she would be gone, escorted out the door like other hosts they have fired. Get a clue.

3. My hunch is also that she can't market her new page while still at QVC--but others can (as Leslie did) so who cares if she posts the link directly. Whatever, if QVC told her to take it down, oh well.

STOP bringing other women down and being a MEAN girl. Support other women or don't say anything at all if you don't like her, or any other host. What is the point?

Wasn't it only a few weeks ago that the crew and others were wearing black out of respect for Joan Rivers death?? Wow

What a thoughtful gesture that was of the models and staff to wear black in honor of Joan's death. Totally appropriate. Somehow it looses the same effect in this instance with lisa leaving this job. Posted the info for those who don't frequent FB but still wanted to be in the know.

I didn't tune in tonight. I think it's silly if the crew is really wearing black ""to mourn"" Lisa's departure (two months in advance). It's ridiculous that they have to come up with so many gimmicks & routines. I wonder what would happen if they spent an entire week (24/7) just focused on the products??

I remember when Jane Tracy left. It was talked about for quite some time. There was not facebook then or it probably would have been a lot more ""hoopla"". I too feel that she deserves some recognition for having been a devoted employee and co-worker for a company for the

length of time she has worked there.

What an ego - some people sure over estimate their importance. I'm sure there is someone younger, better looking and smarter just around the corner. And maybe every other word out of their mouth won't be "ummmmmmmm"

I REALLY hope that this is a joke! If not, it is he most disgusting and childish thing that I have head in a very long time- Lisa is not dead for goodness sake and he fact (if true) that she also boasts about it on FB is a disgraceful! I have less respect for her now then I did yesterday!

It could be true....the camera, lighting, crew men and women, etc. Could be very sad for them....Joan gone, and Lisa leaving. Lisa seems to be well liked by the models, and probably the crew and everyone else.

I went to look (out of curiosity) because I didn't see her tonight and I wondered if it were true, and this is what she said:

"I should have taken a picture. The crew for PMStyle all wore black tonight. They said they were in mourning. To know that I have earned the respect of a group that has earned so much of mine was truly touching. I can not think of a higher compliment.
Hope you had a great day"

Sorry, but I find that weird and I don't get the connection. I would not have expected Lisa to post that either.

Too bad Lisa couldn't just give 2 weeks notice like everyone else. Two months is a long good-bye. I wish she'd kept her departure plans to herself until shortly before she actually leaves. This serves no good purpose and plenty of bad.

Perhaps she announced it two months early because she expected that it would get out and turn into a rumor. She didn't want those who are fans or think of her as a friend to feel left out learning about it from others rather from her.

She also didn't want her detractors to claim she was fired. Announcing two months before her departure removes any possibly that she was.

I think there is an ulterior motive ... a method to her madness ... I just don't know what it is but am sure the next couple months will be interesting to say the least.

And yet Q management allowed the announcement two months in advance. Wonder what their motive was...? or is...?
