I am so sad to hear that Joan passed away. I feel like I have lost a friend, even though I never met her. She always made me laugh and feel good, even if I was down. I pray she is at peace. My prayers to Melissa and her family. She was a unique and sweet lady.

Yes. I always enjoyed her shows. She has done so many things and was so funny. My favorite was the old Dean Martin roasts. She was hilarious!

I feel so sad about Joan Rivers. I met her at QVC in the early days and still have a photo with her. She was so hard working. Hers was the first collection that attracted me because they were copies of real antiques like the "Queen of Romania" necklace. She was so chic. My condolences to Melissa, Cooper and David Dangle.

I have been a fan for so many years. This is such sad news. Joan always made me laugh on QVC & Fashion Police and it will never be the same. Rest in Peace, funny lady. You will be missed more than words can say. Condolences to your family & friends at this difficult time.

I'm sure it would have been her choice to have stayed longer, but I'm happy for her living to such a nice age and not having to deal with any sort of physical or mental debilitation for years before going. That would have for such an incredible lady surely been a fate far worse than death. Her family will hurt forever from this but will learn to live with it a little easier as time goes by.

I've been down about this, more so than I would have ever thought. I've been a fan for 30 years and remember so many of her jokes from the '80s when my roommate and I used to listen to Joan's stand-up act. In her role at QVC, she was not only funny but inspirational, dispensing wisdom about life in her unique (and sometimes hilariously foul-mouthed) way. I started coming to terms with it just early today. Joan was so real and so caring under that tough exterior that she touched so many people in this world.

So sad here also. It feels like we lost a friend. I got her autograph in 1980 when I was only 20. She was with David Brenner at Westbury Music Fair on Long Island and had just written "Having a Baby Can be a Scream". After the show I waited and she signed autographs for every single person that wanted one regardless of whether they had a book or not. When she got to me she smiled and said I was the youngest person that had waited for her. Twenty years later at a Broadway show with my two daughters, we were sitting behind her and during intermission she turned around and said how nice it was that I was taking my girls to a show and that they were so well behaved. I told her that I had an autograph from 20 yrs previous and she said "I knew we were friends!!" Too funny, she was so sweet and kind in person, really made my day.....twice. She will be missed.

I feel like I lost yet another mother. Joan is the only reason why I started watching QVC in the first place. I would watch anything and everything she did. I am sick about this. This should not have happened. I feel like someone is going to say its not real, that she isnt really gone. I feel more guilty for looking up to Melissa for her strength and encouragement. This really just stinks.

I am heartbroken. Joan was such a trailblazer as a female comedian and also in later years as a fashion and jewelry maven. I just loved her and her clothes and jewelry. Prayers to Melissa and Cooper and to all who loved her. She is up there with Robin Williams entertaining the angels.

Agree-she succeeded in many arenas in life, a real pioneer for women. The stories of her kindness are flooding the Internet--what people remember about you is truly your legacy. Joan's legacy is full of riches. Happy memories--watch her clips front he Tonight Show and enjoy those memories--that is a great tribute to Joan Rivers.
