Sent back my HSN purchases!

I sent back my Iman jeans and my DG2 jeans as well! They were snug and I knew I wouldn't wear them. I will buy my pants at the B&M stores where I can try them on, lol. I get caught up in all the hype! I can buy the tops without problems, but the pants are always a gamble. Anyone else have this problem??

I've pretty much stopped trying to buy bottoms online unless I know the brand and how it will generally fit. Just not worth all the hassle of returns.

Pants rarely fit me so I wrote down the measurements on a pair that fit ok but not great, (from QVC). That way I know if I see a pair I like I compare measurements and feel confident that they will fit. The waist, thigh and rise are important for a good fit, at least for me. It's disappointing to place an order and then not have the item fit. I too can buy tops but pants are a whole different issue, my waist is small, thighs are a little chubby so I need to buy according to my high thigh/hip measurement, which makes the waist to big.

I sent mine back because the taupe was too snug, & tho the black fit well, it didn't seem to be worth $40. I was afraid the brushed twill would look too casual after a few washes. Also, I got some great bargains on skinny pants & leggings from other vendors. I do have lots of DG2 that I love! I bought Iman's Bermudas, but am not sure about those either. They seem a bit narrow.

I sent mine back too. I couldn't decide between colors so I bought 4 pairs and all 4 pairs fit differently!

One pair was noticeably larger than the rest, yet they were the shortest of the bunch! The rise was too high, I would never pay more than what the TS's price was for the quality, they fit me in the waist but hips were baggy, the pockets were placed too high...in other words, I was not impressed. Definitely made more for hourglass figures which I am not.

I bought a lot from the Nordstrom's sale and was beyond pleased with every single thing I purchased. Quality is beyond compare, free S&H, free returns, etc. I got a sweater that I will live in! I went back to get a different color but they were already sold out.

Glad you got some good deals at Nordie's..I need to check out their sales! Sad that DG's jeans were all different..didn't think they were worth the price either. My friend just shopped at Macy's and got great deals on some pants, tops too! I'm heading there soon, they also have extra 15% off coupons in the paper!

I don't buy clothing online and don't understand why people buy from home shopping networks.

The sizing is so off it would cost me a fortune to order multiples of items, try them on at home and then pay for postage to return.

Pants are the worst, whether HSN, QVC or B&M. They all fit differently, even different styles in the same brand. Why can't you at least find one brand that you know will work for you?

Most are imported, and there's no consistency! It didn't used to be this way~

Everything I buy online fits me perfectly. I may return something for not being quite my thing when I see it on but not for size. I always read online measurements. HSN has a system where you put your measurements in and it tells you what size to buy.

I thought I'd give the Iman stretchy, jean-leggings a try. I haven't bought any of her items in 5 years, if not longer. I always thought the quality of the Iman line was very poor. The jean-leggings were on sale so I took a chance. They were back in the bag and returned the next day. They fit me horribly. I'll stick with WWC and Isaac from now on. I will say, the Giuliana Rancic pants fit my body perfectly. I love her items. GR is the only line I will buy from on HSN. I stopped buying Dianne Gilman years ago also. The fits are all different and there is just something not quite right with her jeans, imo. I do have a few that I wear when I do my volunteer work at the animal shelter.

If you can, buy two pairs, one size different. Try both on and measure the one that works. Keep those measurements handy when ordering.

Of course, you cannot complain about the shipping and handling but it would hopefully be a one time thing after you get your size and brand right.

I rarely buy jeans online but I have never had to send a pair back. BUT I am afraid to buy DG2 online because so many have problems finding the right fit.

I disagree that size inconsistency did not occur in the past. There have always been differences between manufacturers and designers. I recall back in the 70's trying on slacks in Macys and finding ones that fit in 3 different sizes across three very reputable brands.

No, I buy 80% of my clothing online, most from Q V C. I'm a size 16/18 pear shape but I rarely have to return anything. I think it's because I know my body, I know that certain styles just aren't for me, regardless of how much I wish otherwise. I have a booty, I love the look of pencil skirts. I wish I could wear one. I don't care how much stretch some vendor or show hosts says a skit has or how fantastic a plus size model looks in one; I would never buy one hoping that it would fit well and look good on me. The same with skinny pants and very slim pants. Not for me. I look for a modern cut straight slim or a slight boot. Shopping channel, brick and mortar, online; that's what I look for. I also don't assume I wear a specific size, I check size charts every single time I buy pants and jeans. In stores, I try everything on. I don't care about a number on a tag, I'll go up a size to get a good fit.

I used the measurements of the garment..the size was still off. Its because the garment doesn't always have the right measurements!

I have heard good things about GR's line too. Since her father is a master tailor, she says he is a stickler..and she does her line accordingly. Love her, she's so cute!
