I luv my Eureka Quick-Up stick vacuum that I purchased on-line from Walmart.com a couple of years ago. Model 169H (I have the older model). I rinse out the filter so I don't have to replace. Price is $27.83. Light-weight, slides under beds and good suction. I'm also able to vacuum my stairs from the bottom to the top - as there's a long cord. I like the plug-in (not cordless). Perfect!!!!

If you don't have pets save some money and buy the wonderful Monster Stick vacuum. I live in a small apartment and don't have pets, so with only area rugs to vacuum often I don't feel the need to drag out (the albeit lightweight) full size Oreck for my vacuuming.

I got V32244 for my Mom's apartment and she loves it. I tried it at my house first It was great. I think it would be fine for a location that you can occasionally use a larger vacuum on if you ever need it. She's been in the apartment for three months now and hasn't needed anything bigger yet.

I would love to have a Roomba at my house but wouldn't it be hard for the Roomba to get into all the little crevices there are in an RV?

I have this Electrolux stick vac, I bought it when it was a TSV about a year ago. I bought the purple and I love mine. It is such a nice way to vacuum my tile and I don't have to drag out my big vacuums. Usually I can do all my bathrooms (3) my breakfast/sun room, living room, dining room, both halls and sometimes part of the foyer before the battery dies. I paid about $150 for mine, but it's now on clearance. Great little vacuum.

http://www.qvc.com/Electrolux-ErgoRapido-Ion-Brushroll-Clean-2-in-1-Cordless-18V-Vacuum.product.V32244.html?sc=V32244-SRCH&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION-_-10-_-V32244&catentryImage=http://images.qvc.com/is/image/v/44/v32244.001?$uslarge$

Another vote for the Shark Rocket- light weight, powerful, and just kind of fun to use. Can't even believe I'm saying that about a vacuum, but it's true. It takes getting used to at first because you have to pull it back instead of push it. It also swivels, so can go around corners and stuff, but it's a wiggly, squiggly, energetic machine. It also has a longer cord than most. First vacuum I don't mind using, not counting Roomba of course. It works better than Roomba though. I got mine at Kohls when it was on sale and I had a 30% off code and free shipping.

I had a shark rechargeable and it died after 6 months of very light use. I replaced it with an eureka easy clean 2 in 1 lightweight. I got it in Nov 2011 I've had no problems with it at all. It gets used quite a bit. I've recommend it to a couple other people who have been pleased with it as well. They're a little over $30 on amazon

HI Rock_chick......I also like Electrolux V32244. I use to vacuum my kitchen around my eating area after meals. Gets under the overhang of the base cabinets and into the corners (has a little brush on the side). Quick, strong enough vacuum to pick up bits and pieces. No bags to replace and I can remove the hand held and vacuum kitchen drawers. Had for over a year and very pleased.

Because it is cordless, you can just pull it out and use it for big or small jobs. So much easier to use the Linx.

I have the Shark Rocket, and really love it too.

It has great power, so lightweight, it's almost fun to use. It's great on light area rugs (or any rugs actually, but I find it is great on surface dirt as opposed to "deep cleaning" vast areas of carpet. For that I use a regular Shark). You can easily detach the bottom to use the wand to get into corners so easily. It has lots of attachments, but I don't use them that often.

I've had it a year and it's going strong. This is the one with the cord (nice and long), not the rechargeable.

I'd highly recommend it.
