Has anyone noticed that those girls work morning noon and night . You see them like now and if it was Monday see the same group on pm style and threw out the day. They are always smiling.

Many businesses are now 24/7...........and if you wanna keep your job, you need to be available for all shifts.

I did notice that. I don't know how they're able to look good for such a long stretch. I would be exhausted.

And these are not only QVC models. These are from an agency and do other gigs as well.

At least they have a schedule. Try being on call 24/7 in the medical or IT world. Lots of IT folks have to log on, take calls or go to the office and be there for days until something major is fixed. I admire people in all industries who have to work so hard.

I think they go where the money is. In a way, they're like professional athletes - at some point they'll age out of the job and they want to take advantage while they can.

I don't feel sorry for them, but I would love to know the secrets that make themselves look fresh around the clock. At my age, going without good sleep shows immediately on my face.

did you guys see the picture of the model's sleep room Leah posted on Facebook a couple of months ago? They gave them this room because of their crazy schedule.

I've seen a couple of new models recently. Judith Ripka had a new model for her shows and she's now modeling some clothing and this morning there was a new petite model.

QVC is probably a highly coveted job for a model - guaranteed work instead of having to go to look sees and interviews for every job, the same location instead of having to travel, so if you have kids, that's a plus. The downside is the number of hours. But, I think all of them do a great job and work hard at showing the details of whatever they are modeling.

Unless you are a super model, the job doesn't pay that much ,so you have to work a lot and all kind of hours and also be able to travel. I think some of the QVC models also have other jobs that are not in modeling.

I think the big plus working for the Q is that you can age way past where most models would be no longer wanted, also you can look very average looking and even become over weight like blond Carrie) and still model. Most of the QVC models are not models that would be used in high fashion industry....maybe two of them could cross over..Katia and the Tall willowy red head. Even at that, they are too old. So it is a good secure job for models.

None of them ever look tired or worn out, which is a plus. I'm thinking that they live or stay nearby, so they can take naps, etc. Also, they can exercise, or whatever models do in- between shows. Anyway, QVC models are the best on/in TV shopping, IMO. And working on TV is probably very desirable for their resumes. Think of all of the TV air time they have accumulated......something that most of the other models in the world aren't able to have. They truly are 'celebrities' in their own right.

I know, I don't know how they do it. I don't know how they can function on such little sleep. Jackie and Monica are ones that I notice on at midnight and when I get up at 5:30 a.m. they are there again. I am exhausted just staying up to watch and they have already been up and working.

p.s. The jewelry models must have a lot of patience, standing there for two or more hours. I prefer to see them sitting on a plush or elegant chair. At least for part of their shift.

At least their huge salaries match any krap they might have to deal with. But actually, some of them enjoy it, so that's cool.

I think that you mean, "throughout" and not "threw out"- I don't believe that the models have been "thrown" in the trash!

QVC offers great perks; 30-40% off merchandise, on-site dry cleaning, gym, etc... Probably, not a bad place to work!
