On 7/11/2014 Jayro said:
On 7/11/2014 gardensla said:
Sorry to be so late to toss in my own $.02, but my experience with Linea is to order on the smaller side of my range if it's a knit and true to my QVC size if it's a woven garment. For me this is an XS and a SM (hilarious if you consider that I'm a a small, sometimes medium or a 10, sometimes 12 at regular retail). Once you know your Linea size, it's actually pretty easy to get it right 99% of the time. So, for the tops you mentioned, I'd order the XS as they have lots of stretch. I can't relate Linea to the other brands you mention as I've not tried them.

I tend to pay attention to a few specific "click here" measurements which include the bust, sweep, and arm length as those are my "problem" spots.

Hope you love what you've ordered. It's a really well made, well designed, very wearable line of clothing!

Thank you very much! Do you happen to have A252352 or A255147? They are both 95/5 Poly/Span. When an item has spandex, it's hard to know without trying it on if it's going to be an item that clings or hangs loose. I like an item to have shape, but not cling to my body. Like you, I can wear a range of sizes from a M to an XL at retail, so I never know when trying a new brand where I will fall in that range.

I do have A252352 and ordered in a small as I wanted to have some ease around the hips-more like a tunic than a "top". I could easily have ordered down to an XS but it would have been fitted which is not the look I wanted. My measurements are 36-26-39 if this helps you in terms of reference.

I want to try some Linea and have a few of the poly spandex v neck tunic type tops that look like they will travel well. I've clicked on the individual size size chart for the tops that interest me and measured myself. In other Q brands, I'm between a L and an XL in Denim & CO and Graver. For Linea tops, would you go with L or XL in this situation?

The click here measurements are not your body measurements but the garment measurement so order accordingly. The QVC size charts (that tabbed section over the details) most times are not correct for me when I order from this line.

I don't know if I can help or not, but I always wear a Large in D&C. I like my tops loose - I don't like close fitting things. The large fits me well in tops and pants.

I ordered my first Linea items recently and ordered a large. The jacket was HUGE! Shoulders hung off and the circumference of the garment was also very big. I reordered the same jacket in Medium, and the shoulders fit much better. The waist is a little snugger than I would like, but does fit.

I also ordered an open front cardigan in large, and it was also much too big. I learned from this board that there are some specific measurements under the video, so if you go down a ways from the listing you may find that helpful. I've ordered a couple more things this morning, and I hope the fit will be better for me.

The clothing is beautifully made and I really like it. Hope you can find a great fit. I'm sure you'll like the garments.

My biggest problem with the Q clothing and the size information is that the measurements can't tell you how the garment will fit if it has spandex or darts or other things that make an item seem tighter or more fitted, regardless of the measurement. I've bought D&C tops with the same amount of spandex in the same size, and one was a bit loose, and the other totally fitted.

I can't wait to get them!
