Is it Lin"ay"a or Lin "ee"a?

Courtney kept saying Lin"ay"a instead of Lin"ee"a throughout the show. I recorded the show and just watched it. Looks like LDO wanted to correct her. First time she did it, there was a strange pause by LDO. Why didn't anyone correct her since it was a 2 hour show? It was not the best hosting. She seemed unfamiliar with the brand. Much prefer Sharon who hosted one of the last shows. Loved the sneak peek for new jewelry. The jet black collection and the fish in gun metal finish look like winners!

I've never heard anyone pronounce it (I don't watch fashion shows on QVC). I assumed from seeing it written down that it was Lin-ay-a. If that's wrong, it's an easy mistake to make.

LIN-ee-uh (emphasis on first syllable) and not Lin-AY-uh (emphasis on second syllable) (which, to me, is how it looks like it should be pronounced).

I've always heard the other hosts refer to it as Lin"ee"a, with emphasis on the "lin". It just sounded odd the way Courtney kept saying "Lin "aaya" ladies". Seemed like she was unfamiliar with the brand, but she sure can wing it. Not a bad show, just not great as usual.

it seems like louis calls it LIN-ee-uh with the emphasis on the first syllable and the long e sound.....but i have heard it pronounced so many different ways by the hosts. is it an italian word?

Yes, I've always heard it pronounced this way by LDO and all other hosts, except for Courtney. What is the meaning - I'm curious too.

Doesn't have an Italian pronunciation. ""Line"" meaning he likes his looks to have the illusion of length or long line.

santorini is correct. Means line in Italian, i.e. this line of clothing is by Louis Dell Olio. Louis has explained this several times in the past. In Italy they say LIN-ee-uh.

The new jewelry looks great-I think LDO said a new Jet collection, which was layered and chunky necklaces in black glass as well as drop earings; a new cross necklace; and fish necklace in gun metal. For clothes, it was ribbed turtlenecks-one is peacock color. Did anyone else catch info on new items? Want to see the new Body items!
