I have Wacoal and a couple LeMystere bras. I prefer the Wacoal over the LeMystere. I have more than one style one I can remember is the Awareness. The other is a simple, seamless cup as well. I have used the Panache brand in the past.

Hey guys, if you are, ahem, ample in the chest, which brand of bra do you recommend for uplift, support and most of all, coverage? I have been using Cabernet but looking for a minimizer. Unhappy with the availability at Soma (hated the molded types) and walked out minus a new bra.

I recently purchased the ""Bali One Smooth U"" side support bras. They do have an underwire which I usually try to steer clear of but they are the best fitting bras I have ever bought (support and separation). It is a full coverage bra.

If you have a Soma store in your area, you might want to let them fit you......doesn't cost anything if you don't find anything you like. They're owned by the same company that Chico's.

Wacoal bras are widely acclaimed. They are also very pricey. If you're willing to pay the price, that's a good way to go. If not, Bali minimizers are good. I also like the comfort and support of Playtex 18-hour bras for everyday wear, and 18-hour bras come in a wide variety of types and styles, with and without underwires. Check OneHanesPlace.com for a good selection at decent prices.

Wacoal but I can't recall the styles I used to wear. I gained a lot of weight so could not wear them for a long time. Now that I've lost a lot & now fit Wacoal sizes again I'm watching for sales.

Also, Title Nine. They are known for sports bras but also have good every day bras for many sizes with varying amounts of support.

I'm a 34DDDD and I only buy the Chantelle Rive Gauche full coverage bras.

What I love about them is that they cups have a bit of stretch to them, so you get a beautiful shape, but most importantly, it is the most comfortable underwire you will ever wear. It gives with you throughout the day as your body expands and contracts. I especially appreciate this on cross-country flights where I retain water and get puffy.

I never want to rush home and rip off this bra. It's the only one I wear now. Everything else is super uncomfortable.

And they come in pretty colors, new colors every season.

They are $80+ but worth every penny. I get them at Nordstrom and they usually have one on sale during the Anniversary Sale starting soon.

THat is my size. I like Warner bras, but I buy at Ross for bras. You can get a really nice bra, normally priced at $30-$40 and up for $6-$10. The problem is you have to check frequently because it is hard to find that bra size, but I have had better luck at Ross than anywhere else.

Thanks guys. I wasn't pleased with Soma at all. I was actually measured there as a 38 CC (everywhere else in the world 34DDD) The bra I was given in that size was a joke. The SA kept giving me different sizes. Her inexperience in bra fittings, showed. There is no Dillards here in the suburban NYC area, but the best I can find is their online Cabernet range and put a Spanx over it.

I will look at the ones you guys have recommended. I would like to avoid Spanx in the summer. T.Y.

Another vote for Chantelle bras. They are pricey, but work very well for me. A knowledgable store is the best place to start. Later on you might want to buy replacements online. I try to get fitted every year or two, and have them show me new brands / models.Nordstrom's Rack is the only discount store I have found Chantelle at.

For a sport's bra I LOVE Moving Comfort. They even have wireless bras supportive enough to run in. Amazing. Title Nine is a good source, Athleta carries some as well ( not sure that they mention the manufacturer), REI unfortunately doesn't carry them in our sizes very much.

If you ever go into Manhattan try these two places for a really good fitting : Town Shop on the Upper West Side, and Bra Tenders in the Theater District. There you need to make an appointment, they carry some european brands that are not so common here in the US.
