Do you think I can walk on grass in these?

I wore a similar pair to a wedding last summer and I ended up twisting my ankle. The ground wasn't level and it was very difficult to walk in this type of shoe. I would stick to a lower heel or flat.

Stick to sidewalks. Any uneven ground and you'll be a goner! Cute shoes,though.

That chunky heel is certainly better than a thin stiletto that would punch into the ground. Nevertheless, even a thick tall heel can be treacherous on uneven ground. Depends on how confident you are in your walking skills, I guess.......

Why wouldn't you be able to walk on grass in these shoes??? As long as the ground is completely dry, you should be fine! WAs this a trick question? Seems like common sense.

you may or may not be able to. it depends on the terrain AND it depends on if it has rained recently. if the ground is moist then you will still ""sink in"" a bit.

Lanikins those are really cute--- I love them, where did you find them? Do they come in brown? Are they comfy?

I think you should be fine walking on grass in them. The heels are chunky enough that they shouldn't sink the soil, unless it's really wet, then even a wedge will sink a bit.

It depends on how good your insurance is and how many times you have to do it. One wedding? Chance it. Daily, no.

Hi imaclotheshog- I'm not Lanikins but I was curious too I clicked on the photo of the shoe and it showed "Womens Earthkeepers Stratham Heights Strappy Sandals - Timberland"

Hmmmmmmm I didn't know the pic would do that. Neat

I bet they are comfy if they are Timberlands. I checked and they do have brown as well as red, and some other colors.

Ladies, they are from Timberland and I got a great deal on them. Originally $110 and I got them for $54 with free shipping. They are being delivered today! My favorite riding boots were from Timberland last winter, so I think these sandals will be of high quality, too.

Lanikins - if it was me, I'd go with the first pair that you featured. As long as the terrain is not terribly hilly or rocky and you are walking, not trotting or jogging, you will be fine.

Those shoes should be just fine in most grassy areas. It's funny down here that at my church we routinely park on the grass and I have to walk over it from the car to pavement/sidewalk and back. The soil down here, such as it is, supports me even when I wear my highest slimmest heels.

No problem! I live in CA, and most wedding venues now use artificial turf. It looks nice, and you don't sink into it, even it you're wearing stilettos!
