I wear them spring, summer and fall....I'm definitely usually a little chilly....that's why I can wear it in the summer at times... I pair it with just about everything.... from leggings, cropped pants, cute summer dresses and jeans.... when wearing it with pants.... I always wear it with a shirt that is longer than the jean jacket...

I have lots of them and wear them with everything all year long except for the hottest summer days. I recently retired and a denim jacket is a great way for me to dress down my work clothes I don't use anymore. I have them in white, black, dark denim, light denim, and several colors. I wear scarves with them in fall and winter.

I don't have one right now. I love the look but I have concluded I am going to have to get a black or colored one since I would have no clue what to wear a denim blue color one with.

It's just like a pair of jeans, except you're flipping the top/bottoms. So, whatever you would wear on top with jeans could be worn with a denim jacket.

That only works for me in theory. I usually wear colorful tops with jeans. I do not really wear colorful jeans.

That's a great one. I have that one in probably 4 or 5 colors now.

Goes with almost everything.

I have a light weight and not stiff denim jacket I found locally. Best one I have ever owned and was not a fan before because of the heavy weight. I also see denim shirts used as jackets and that is a cute look.

Wear them with anything and just a cute look. I wear them with skirts, dresses, capri's and pants.

Old Navy had some cute ones the last time I was there. I bought a white one for my DD. Looks cute on her. They had light wash denim, dark wash denim and white. They are long sleeved and very cropped. The price was good. I forgot what it was, but I think they were around $30.

I just can't seem to like denim jackets. They feel too restrictive to me, for some reason.

I have a light wash one from Motto that I love, had a coral one from Denim and Co, and opps left it some where the first time I wore it

I have 2 "suits" of How Smooth jeans and denim jackets in the same color, and they go everywhere. Dress 'em up and dress 'em down.

I've only owned one denim jacket in my life & I had no idea how to wear it so it just hung in my closet. I was only small enough to be comfortable with how I looked in one for a short time. Now I have lost a ton & intend to learn how to rock the look once & for all! My body has changed so much I really need to learn how to dress & what looks good all over again.

I live in a warm climate & don't even wear light jackets until fall. I'd like a lightweight 3/4 sleeve one & also a heavier one with full length sleeves. I really am not a fan of the high pockets on most jean jackets though. I don't want to look bigger there than I am.

Is it still a no no or is it OK to wear a denim jacket & blue jeans together if they are very different shades of blue? Like the light blue jacket below with jeans the color of the jacket next to it? (Pics borrowed from Lola's post #11.)

I have three jean jackets, one denim, one white and one pink. I usually wear a t-shirt or tank that hangs a little lower than the jacket. The jackets are not cropped though. Bottoms are usually jeans or capris. They are my go to jackets in the Spring and Summer if it is a cool night.

I bought one from Jjill this year and absolutely LOVE it. It's not cropped and it's light weight enough that I can roll the sleeves up or down.

I wear it as a spring jacket and with everything from capris to skirts. One of my go-to pieces when it cools down!!

Love all these looks! Also wear over casual dresses and skirts. The only think I would never do is wear a blue jean jacket with blue jeans!
