My Linea crop pants were "in process" and now they are listed as "backorder." These pants are currently available on waitlist in my size. What's the better option to actually getting these pants delivered?

So disappointed they backordered these pants--planned on taking them on a trip next week. Oh well. I'll wait it out and keep it on backorder status.

My crop pants in black went on backorder also, even though I ordered at midnight. This happens to me every time Linea is on, something I order goes on backorder. But after everything dies down, I have always received my backordered item.

Backorder means they have it in stock somewhere but wait list means you have to wait for a return or a reorder. Backlist is definitely better than wait list.

They always tell me when an item I've ordered two minutes after it went on the air goes on backorder instead of shipping, it's because someone didn't get the inventory count right. I actually checked with a vendor company once about an item--they blamed it on QVC, and QVC blamed it on the vendor. I don't know how they can say during a presentation, we brought in 1800 of these, and we're down to 600, or we're almost sold out in the black, or we have 4 dozen left in the polka dot, etc. etc. I will never understand how they do not make absolutely sure what they have in inventory, either at the vendor or at QVC, before they continue to sell it. I've gotten most of my backorders, but missed out on a Carolyn Pollack piece (which doesn't come back when it sells out) because of it, and also got a pair of boots which weren't even the same boot I ordered-it showed as a very light navy suede and had silver studs - when I received it, it was very dark navy with gold studs! And the kicker was that the video was still showing the light navy boot with silver studs as available!

I asked customer service once why they would be offering something on waitlist when they weren't even sure they could fill their backorders (they said there's never a guarantee you will get a backordered item). Did they just want to disappoint some more people if it didn't come in? And yes, I do get very irritated when this happens.

It's either available or not. You'd think with the volumes they handle, their database software would be more accurate. Very frustrating indeed.

There is a slight difference between backordered and waitlist. Backordered means that your order is supposed to be guaranteed or promised to ship at a later date. There is never a promise or guarantee from QVC (or any mail order retailer) that a Waitlist order will be fulfilled. As I said the difference is slight and may I add blurry.

I have had a few orders go from process to backorder-- and I was told by the QVC C.S. that back- order means they have the item, but just not at the QVC warehouse. They had over sold , or as someone else pointed out they had lost track of the count of items available. I was told that my order would be filled and they were waiting to receive more from the vendor's warehouse. They fill back- orders first then the wait-list folks. I don't pay attention to the "We are out of the black in 1X'. If I have my heart set on the black, I will call and check availability, especially after a show, orders are cancelled and the item can come available. Sometimes when I watch a show that I have recorded I call and they act like they have plenty. Perhaps this is the loosing count effect as well. I usually have a request to notify before shipping my wait list, and several times, when I call to request this I am told -- We now have that available would you like us to release??? OH I love when that happens.
