I think Tube Top Dresses do not look professional on TV

I really enjoy watching Shawn, I don't think the tube dresses are professional. Seems like Kerstin is following her with that style...looks like they are half dressed. I'm all for great fashion, but I think it's not great on QVC.....Surprised QVC doesn't have more restrictions on clothes Host wear, including Lisa R which I love watching!!! She wears Chloe shoes, Prada etc, and clothing by high end designers...she needs to wear her OWN label....just saying. Love to watch all of these host.

I guess it will take one of them slipping down one day on air and giving everyone in America a free topless show, before management will tell the hosts not to wear them.

I don't think it's professional either, and it isn't employee dress code for any business I know of unless it is a very very casual atmosphere......maybe a putt putt golf place......but whatever.

I don't like tube top dresses ever. I don't think they are in the least bit flattering, and they look like they are always about ready to fall down. Women are constantly pulling them up. Whatever the allure of them is....I don't get it. I'd prefer a Maxi dress over a tube top dress, and I only own a few of them.

I think Shawn and Lisa usually look great. I think Carolyn looks terrible- like she rolled out of bed and in wrinkled D&C that is often too tight.

And there is a big difference between a tube top and a strapless summer maxi dress that Shawn wears. It is age and figure appropriate.

We are in the 21st century now.

I agree.

I think saying "tube top dress" somehow justifies the criticism when in reality the proper term should be strapless dress which doesn't carry the same negative connotations.

Strapless dresses are always in style in the summertime. I would rather see a host in a trendy, fun outfit than a stodgy old suit.

Ahem...The allure of them is what they make guys think of doing when you wear them. So they're a spice up the relationship date outfit in my opinion.

Seems like the hosts dress way up when they present fancy jewelry and dress down when it's a garden day or a very casual TSV. Haven't seen a tube top worn on QVC, but I generally wouldn't care for it. Strapless can be fine depending on the wearer and the style.

Neither strapless nor tube tops are professional. I, too, am surprised that the crude manner we see in larger society is being duplicated on QVC. There is youthful, there is fun, and there is tasteless...those dress tops are tasteless for the situation.

I agree that that type of clothing is not professional, but with QVC, it seems that professionalism in appearance, speaking and presenting products is a thing of the past

Thank you. I was a professional and worked with professionals. There is a place for every type of clothing. That is the truth and that does not make me an old biddy which I am not. I don't dress like one nor act like one. I just know how to look for every occasion. I am really not interested in opinions from people who are snarky and clueless, they are just embarrassing themselves. QVC should be professional IMO and I dont understand why they are not. I guess because they want to be our "homies" and not put off the tube top audience. gag.

I think Shawn looks like her unmade bed.

Carolyn always looks dumpy and I cannot imagine why she insists on wearing those horrid crop pants that look awful on her.

Carolyn seems to have no sense of style. I do not care for the color combinations she wears. The other day she had on some bright top with dark pants and then light colored wedge sandals and looked awful. She says she is a size fourteen or large but omg she looks like a 2x on my tv and she is not model material. She really looks like a hick most of the time.

She is a good saleswoman and much better than some of the others but I can't stand it when she uses those phony voices and talks that cutesy baby talk when she is talking about animals. Then her real voice and personality come out when she gets tough and deepens it talking faster towards the end of her sales pitch.

Add me to the agreement list. Heck, as soon as I had my first baby, I gave them up - ever try carrying a baby on your hip and NOT giving a free show? lol 3 babies later (youngest is 6), I still don't wear them 'cause now I don't have anything to hold it up! lol
