At first I thought it was just me. But now, I know I'm right !!!! I'm so upset, but all Liz Claiborne clothes, on me, run small and I am not willing to "size up" just to wear her brand.

Every brand of clothing , no matter who the designer is, has fit me to a tee in my normal size from the Q. Then I started buying Claiborne and notice when I tried them on at home they seemed to fit a little snug. I was really confused, as I kept sending things back and ordering others. I went to the scales to see if I had picked up some weight. None. Same size.

I just recently heard a customer call in talking to the vendor about the same problem, and the girl (not Linda Davies) admitted that their line does run a little smaller than others. But not enough to size up she said.

So I quit. Just am not going to order from them, guess I can't win. So sad, because I like a lot of their clothes.

Have any of you noticed their clothes being a little shorter or more snug as well?

Thanks for any replies.

Have a great weekend !!

I guess I'm not that size conscious. If I have to size up, so be it. As long as the clothing fits me and looks good on me who cares what size it is??

Well it can't be all LC styles. I recently bought A224029, a water color maxi, in both available colors, and the size 12, which I don't yet wear in most clothes, fits me perfectly. I bought it because I figured if it were too small this season I'd get to wear it next year, but I've already worn one of the colors and will be wearing the other tomorrow. I'm also wearing a few of my 1X clothes as well as some other clothes in sizes from XL to M. I'm definitely not married to sizes.

A lot of clothes that Q sells are cut small..

Marc Bouwer and Isaac Mizrahi's clothes

are cut small and I hate his cap sleeves

on t-shirts. Even on the hanger you

can tell that LC clothes are cut for a smaller

in size person.

I think it's cut smaller than some of the other oversized brand QVC sells like Graver, Quacker, D&C. I think this line is cut more to B&M sizing which is smaller than some of the Q sizing. I take a size larger in Liz, Isaac, Marc B than I do in other lines sold on QVC. I take the same size in Liz, etc. that I do in other b&m clothing.

I couldn't care less what size something is - I buy things that fit my body (as well as anything can anymore). The size tags are on the inside - if anyone wants to see them, they'll have to pay a steep price! Cut them out if it's that important!

Liz Claiborne, Ralph Lauren, Jones of New York, lots of designer garments are cut small. No big deal. If I want something and I have to size up, who cares? Nobody knows but me. Unlike the Divas who have to be an XXS, I don't think it matters what size anyone wears as long as it's a good fit. Good fit = good look!

I don't understand being unwilling to wear clothes because of the number on the tag. I DO understand being frustrated by the inconsistency of the sizes, but if you know a larger size would fit you and you like the piece who cares? That's just me.

I do not find that LCNY runs small personally, I have one shirt, the sleeveless print one with the tie at the waist, and it's actually a size 2, which seems ridiculous for a woman who's 5'6" and weighs 130 lbs. A 4 would have hung on me.

PS I always use the "click here" link to view the specific garment measurements. It's not foolproof, but makes it more likely that what you get will fit well.

I almost always size up now-a-days. I'd rather have items a bit larger than too tight, no matter which brand. Also, I often dry items for a few minutes, and sometimes leave them in the dryer a bit longer, so if/when they slightly shrink, they still fit me. I really don't care what the 'size' states on the label. In dept. stores, I just hold up the items on the hanger, and choose the items according to how large they look on the hanger, no matter which 'size' they are. I have a few of 'large' sizes that are probably, in reality, medium or small (and vice versa).
