Mary Beth is a pro and it shows every time she is on. She knows her job and yet, she allows the presenter to share the product. Who knows the product better than the rep for the product? I would think this would be an easy situation to be in, also, what is the need for a rep for the product if the host is constantly talking?

Greamy, Yes she is a lovely host. She is so easy to watch. Her faith in God shines through her at all times. She has a lovely family that she can be proud of too. The above comment was totally unnecessary IMO.

Not that I think Mary Beth needs defending, but listen to other hosts, this is a very common phrase among them all.............

I so agree with this, greamy. She does her job so well. I don't like to run other hosts down but I must admit..... the "talking over" bothers me sometimes. For the most part, I don't watch QVC much on TV anymore. I pretty much just shop it online and watch the videos. I understand why some of the vendors talk over the hosts. They about have to. Why even have a vendor if you're not going to let them speak for goodness sake .

When Mary Beth allows the vendors to speak about their products uninterrupted, it's called MANNERS. It's called POLITENESS. It's about personal dignity and being invested in how others view you. But most importantly, it about CARING ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS.

she is soft spoken.....none of that screaming nonsense some of the other hosts do...and I have never heard her ask them to order items for herself....she is on now in case someone wants to know...

Mary Beth has always been very professional. She dresses appropriately for her job. She has alot of character and dignity. The other hosts could certainly learn from her.

I wish she did the Monday morning fashion shows and Jayne and Pat took Friday. Or put Mary Beth on on Wednesdays an hour earlier and get rid of that boring show that is there now.

The vendor does know the product very well and should be allowed to give product info. But the QVC host (ie salesperson) is the one to push/sell/market that product. There shouldn't be any competition to make the sale - IMO, the vendor and the salesperson should work in tandem to get the job done. Here's where QVC and their hosts get lost.

Marybeth has experience and self confidence and she knows why she is infront of that camera. She knows she's there to make sales and she knows the best way to do that is to give shoppers the information they need to make a decision. Newer hosts take themselves too seriously. They THINK their job is to entertain "viewers", they spend so much time talking and joking and sharing the details of their lives and trying to be cute and funny that selling the merchandise gets lost in the shuffle. Marybeth has been around long enough to know better.

MB and Leah are both good at letting the vendor talk and yet give excellent feedback and needed information. I think Sandra is good as well.

I must agree.......and it drives me crazy when the host asks the vendor to describe the product and shortly after the vendors begins describing the product the host interrupts and we never end up hearing some of the important details. I think the interruptions are getting worse and worse lately.
