Apparel is not like before. Remember buying a boat load, unfortunately For Qvc I buy at Shop HQ. More diverse and fashionable apparel. What happened, even Denim And Company has become too matronly. Sorry.

The only clothing I have purchased on tv was the original CitiKnits. I prefer the brick & mortar stores. The sizes & quality seem to vary too much on the shopping channels.

Isn't it wonderful that we have so many options to shop for clothing from national chains, to local independent shops, to catalogs, to online (only) merchants, websites for our favorite stores, and by golly there's TV too.

I'm so sorry that sizes have changed. A QF large used to be just right. Now it swims around on me. And the medium is too small. Same for Denim & Company. The large falls off my shoulders, and the mediums small thru the bust. (Admittedly I don't like things too snug!)

And the arms are so long they hang over my fingertips.

Same thing goes for pants. I have bought crops that were just right. Now they are almost to my ankles. The size of the waist has changed.

I really can't count on QVC anymore

I would never ask for anyones permission to shop where i wanted to, and yes I have mentioned their improvement in selection. Maybe if you dont like my post you can go elsewhere

In reference to the orignal post, i do most of my shopping online due to healh reasons, but I do have Many pieces from Qvc purchased years ago that are trendier.

I'm not sure that one is better than the other but I will say that I had never watched nor purchased anything from ShopHQ until a month ago. Since then I have picked up 4 fun spring/summer tops. Nice to add it into the mix of my B&M and online shopping sites. Variety is good.

p.s. ShopHQ has a much better/more accurate tracking system for their shipped items. QVC should adopt their system.

Denim & Co has never been "on trend". It has always been a mature casual line. With that said, I will only purchase online from Nordstrom, Dillards, or Macy's for most clothing because I've found most shopping channel clothes, except for a very few exceptions, are cheaply made and of slinky rayon material. Even J Jill clothes have gone slinky!

IslandGirl: I just 'peeked' over at ShopHQ..........and was happy to see price categories........'Just for fun' I clicked onto under 19.99 in the pants section.....lots of choices. When I have the time, I'll look into the other price ranges.

Fashion has changed, all right -- and on QVC, for the worse. I used to buy fashions from QVC all the time, preferring high quality, natural fibers and more sophisticated styles that were regularly featured on lines such as Dialogue (discontinued) and Linea by Louis Dell'Olio. I found that I could get great fashions at true bargains and used to brag to co-workers and friends, recommending QVC for clothing. Not any more and not for quite some time. Most of the fashion lines that QVC features, like Susan Graver, are matronly, and use awful polyester fabrics that can be found at most bargain department stores and at cheaper prices. I'm astounded to see that SG's simple, poly tanks and T's cost close to $50 each after you add in shipping and taxes. Really? for a polyester tank? --- Thank God for Louis Dell'Olio -- the only true "hi fashion" designer left at QVC (he was design director for Anne Klein for years and had his designs featured in all the elite stores like Neiman's, Saks, etc.). I heard they tried to drop him a few years ago -- I guess he's just too classy. Wish they had more fashions from him!

I've purchased d&c for quite a few years. As with any other line, there are hits and misses. Happy with the majority of the purchases. Not happy that the measurements on pants have been tweaked over the last year. Now one size is too small and the next, too big. Not to mention that lengths are also longer.

Romary: definitely check it out…and then check back from time to time. I have been lucky to hit free shipping or $2.99 shipping offers in addition to finding things on sale. My new tops aren't 'dressy' but they will go more places than a tee shirt. I've been pleasantly surprised.

I for one applaud Juanita 12 for speaking her mind and voicing her opinion, unlike momcat who is just one of many who automatically attack anyone who says something negative about QVC with their nasty comments about shopping elsewhere. Obviously QVC is not the only game in town. Obviously, although she doesn't owe any of us an explanation, Juanita 12 has clarified that she shops on line due to health reasons. And thank God she realizes she doesnt need anyone's permission to shop elsewhere even though momcat and her seemingly angry cronies always have to invite us to do so. Maybe by giving negative comments, an invitation is given to QVC to step it up and to give it's customers more reasons to shop more at QVC. I hope you enjoy your purchases wherever you make them Juanita 12, and the best of health and happiness to you.

I miss Dialogue too . I thought I was the only one. The pant were the perfect fit and fabrication. Easy care. Machine wash, take out of dryer and hang or wear. NO ironing what so ever. Styles I could truely wear dressy or casual. Have a few that I still wear. When they finally wear out, I don't know what I'm going to do . Ebay and Amazon have very few.

I liked Dennis Basso straight skirts he had about 2 years ago. Same; material, fit, easy care and style as Dialogue. I was so hoping he would expanded this line.

Linea, Bob Mackie and (some) of George Simonton are the best Q has. D&Co and SG are too expensive. Paying $30 -$40 for a cotton or polyester top and $35 for a pair of pedal pushers is ridiculous.

To the other ladies who said the [orignal] poster could shop elsewhere or didn't need permission, her statement was correct. She wasn't asking for anyone's permission. She was expressing her experiences with ShopHQ.
