Yesterday on our way home from the shore, I wanted to stop in a TJMaxx-Homegoods store.

At Thanksgiving I found a gold multi butterfly candle base in the clearance department. DH saw the really long checkout line and that was the end.

To my surprise, it was still there! Into my cart pronto.

And then, in the holiday clearance area, I found the most perfect Christmas decoration:

It was karma that the other piece was there. That checkout line can be scary. I went to pier 1 yesterday and got some bargains.

thank you. If you saw my post from last week, you would have seen a " scroll with the Nativity scene " from Homegoods in that very spot. The new piece fits as though it was made for that corner.

It's between the Great Room and the kitchen. Every time I see it, it makes me smile...'tis the reason for the season.
