someone please help me find the new nintendo nes classic system......i need TWO! how come they are so difficult to find?

i need them for christmas gifts.

unfortunately they are being sold by resellers via the walmart website......they are charging 4-5 times what they were selling for originally.

i am hoping some new stock comes in at walmart, gamestop, or best buy.....or any other major retailers.

if anyone sees them please let me know!

Good luck. They are the hot item of the year and scalpers/bots are buying them all up and reselling them in the hundreds/thousands of dollars on eBay. I got mine a couple of weeks ago when Walmart had a flash sale everyday at 5 pm. They say they are getting more stock in the next week or two but you have to be online and hit the button at the right time or you are out of luck. I originally tried to get one when Amazon offered them. Sold out in 30 seconds. Nintendo has a history of doing this. Your best bet is to wait until January or February when they will be just sitting on the shelves after the "want" for them has calmed down. Maybe an I.O.U. and a small gift card for their gift in the meantime? Don't pay a fortune for one. They are 60 bucks and not worth more than that.

Most places have been selling out of them within seconds of making units available. It seems that third party sellers are using bots to buy all they can so they could resell them at a huge profit.

I needed one for a gift as well, but I refuse to reward those jerks. If need be, I'll give an IOU to gift one as soon as stores get them at normal retail price. Also considering alternatives such as buying virtual console codes for some classic games to play in the meantime.

My friend waited outside our local Toys-R-Us overnight along with many others just to get a ticket to purchase the Nintendo and also the Hatchimal. She was thrilled to be able to get both.

The way Nintendo is doing REALLY ticks me off! That was the only thing I really wanted for Christmas.

They put out a press release that it would be available Nov. 11th. My daughter called one of the video game stores near here to see if they were going to have any - do you know how many Nintendo shipped to them - SIX. Six consoles.

THEN, they turn around and sell them at WalMart for $260!

Nintendo can take their console and shove it!!!

I agree that it is a ridiculous game Nintendo plays. On top of it it gets bad reviews. I read to check Walmart at a certain time each day because they may get a few but be signed in and ready to buy or it will be gone by the time you do that. Plus the bots are getting them all.

It's the way Nintendo markets their products.

They create hype and then a short supply follows which creates even more media/news hype of people willing to stand in line all night at Toys R Us.

I realize that, but I think it's dirty, it's shady, and I'll be (bleep) if I stand in line all night, anywhere, for anything!

They didn't NEED to do that - there was such a HUGE demand for the console waiting, there was no need for this sort of thing.

Like I said, take this console and shove it. LOL
