These type of sentences always confuse me. Does it mean, he stays in prison till he dies, he'll be resurrected to serve 32 more years in prison till he dies again?

Your question made me chuckle....visualizing the entire event...haha...

I am soooo glad he will be locked up never to hurt another child again...I think death sentence is too easy...I would rather people, like him, sit in jail till they die...that way they have a lot of time to dwell on what they did and where they will be forever....and hopefully get a lot of hassle from other inmates ....

Unfortunately, in many states a prisoner with a 'life' sentence is actually eligible for parole after 7 years. That doesn't mean they'll get parole, but they could.

Disgusting isn't it?

If the additional 32 years is to run 'concurrent', that means it runs at the same time as the life sentence and doesn't add one single day to his life sentence and he's still eligible for parole after 7 years

If the 32 years is 'consecutive', then it starts after his life sentence (or 7 years for parole eligibility) and will keep him in prison for longer than the 7 years, but probably for not that much longer.

Our so-called justice system really sux......

There is no justice in our "justice" system.

He should be strapped into a sizzling hot car, like you said, for hours, like that poor child he MURDERED.

Your explanation of how sentencing works is spot on. However, RH life sentence included no parole. Why the additional 32 yrs? I am assuming he still has rights to his 3 appeals which can drag on for decades.

Life without the possibility of parole would suit me fine. Too bad it didn't turn out that way. Life sentence is a slow death...

@Mz iMac According to Joey on HLN, the 32 years given by the judge was to "make a statement" ~ hopefully deterring anyone else from doing the same horrific thing.

The only thing else I would wish for is that they could make his cell about 95 degrees 24/7/365 . . . I would be shocked if he ever saw the light of day again plus I would think his dance card is going to be pretty fulll as they just love child molesters and killers in prison.
