Do you have some good news?

There is so much sadness right now, I thought some happy event might make a nice break.

I am getting a new energy efficient furnace tomorrow and new gutters ,that don't have to be cleaned ,on Tues. It's my home's Christmas, I guess, but it makes me happy anyway

What is your good news?

Well, Granddaughter #2 just got a gorgeous engagement ring from her long time love. We adore both of them, and are thrilled to welcome him to our family.

And my oldest grandson, age 36, and the love of his life are expecting a little girl in the spring. (Their first)

Wish I had more to share, but this is more than enogh for me!!!!

Two lumps were seen on my recent mammogram. Additional imaging indicates they are just cysts. That is good news (for me).

I love reading about good news so thanks for starting this thread! I had an amazing Thanksgiving and birthday with all my family for the first time in a long time and first time my sister has visited me since I moved many years ago. It was such a wonderful time.

Hopefully will have more good news soon after results, etc come back.

This may not be good news to anyone but me. I am finishing up decorating my Christmas tree. Anymore it is a love/hate task. I am obsessive about decorating a beautiful tree with hundreds of ornaments, but at the same time I dread doing it. Ever better new for me it is up a week early.

I know I will. Ours is a high effeciency ,but its 28 years old, so this one should be a lot better

MY house has had the best C hristmas this year. It already got a new roof a month ago

You know with a house its always something. I dread having it installed because of the no heat

I am down sixteen pounds.

The gifts are all bought AND wrapped, Tree is up; will decorate tomorrow.

I found two items I was missing around the house AND $6.00.

I miraculously avoided being hit by a blue Jeep while driving near my home on Friday morning to a Dr's appointment. The Jeep swerved out of the left lane and made a hard right turn into my lane and nearly into my car to avoid the chain reaction crash of the two cars in front of hers. Truly a miracle that I was not hit broadside.

@NC Bandwagon, If you have not yet used Nick's Mesquite Serum and Hairspary you are in for an incredible hair experience. The Serum can make even the kinkiest dry locs feel soft and luxurious. and the hairspray OMG! That hairspary is so good it can even put zing back into a wig which has seen better days.

The Dakota pipe line has been stopped. They are going to look for ways to go around. That is good news for many.

I just finished wrapping all my Christmas presents and it is only December 4th! That is good news for me. Now I am starting on the Christmas cards.

I am beginning to come out of a depression I have been in for over 3 years! I feel like a real, hopeful person again!

My small immediate family of 4 all came to eat Thanksgiving lunch with me! That was wonderful! I didn't even mind the cooking and cleaning. LOL

My son finally got a raise from the company he has been with for 16 months -- they apologized for being late with the raise, and gave him an early Christmas bonus as well! Everyone knows how we Moms are, when our kids are doing good, that makes us happiest of all. LOL

It is good to read everyone's good news. Wishing each of you a wonderful, Merry Christmas and may 2017 keep bringing GOOD NEWS to all of us!!

EXCELLENT news @sunshine 919! I did not hear it had been stopped! What an amazing thing to see all the various Tribes come together like that for such a good cause.

@HappyDaze It's not being stopped. The Army Corp of Engineers announced it is being rerouted and they are looking for alternate routes.

A couple of months ago, I posted in the Wellness forum about my sudden hearing loss in my right ear after taking a modest dosage of Lasix. My audiologist sent me to an ENT who ordered an MRI. He didn't think the Lasix was the cause, but felt the MRI would show if there had been a stroke in the ear or perhaps a tumor. I was nervous about the outcome and there seemed to be one holdup after the other. A couple of weeks ago, I finally got to meet with the ENT to discuss results. He said everything was completely normal and I just needed to see the audiologist to get my hearing aid for that ear reset. No one can tell me the cause of the loss so regardless of what he says, I still believe it was the Lasix as that was a new medication for me and nothing else in my lifestyle had changed. It sucks to have to deal with the loss and the frustration it causes, but I am relieved and thankful that there's no tumor.
