Anyone with Amazon Prime and issue with receiving packages in two days

Happened to come across my neighbor out in his yard today. I asked if the mail had come and then we got to talking about how late they have become lately. He mentioned that he buys from Amazon, is a member of Prime and Amazon has been handingn off their deliveries to the the regular mail and the two day guarantee is not being honored.

Anyone have this issue. I have not and I am a Prime Member as well.

My orders are still coming in two days, unless I order on Thursday or Friday, the weekend adds days. So far so good.

I get my stuff in two days, except for rare exceptions where there is an issue. But it's not very common for my stuff to be late. Even my things that are delivered by USPS.

@bonnielu when I had Prime I started having this problem and contacted Amazon. They added a month on to my subscription and the delays really decreased. I would let your neighbor know to contact Amazon and they'll make it right.

No, I have great luck with Amazon Prime. I've even received things the SAME day.

Just about 1 1/2 weeks ago I ordered a kerosene heater and they guaranteed it WITHIN 2 days! I received it the late afternoon of the 2nd day!

I've had really good luck with them. Maybe it depends on where you live?

Very, very rarely have I had a Prime order not arrive within two business days.

Of course, things can happen but it's been so rare that I don't even remember the last time a Prime order didn't arrive by the ETA given.

Lately, I've even been getting some USPS orders on Sundays for the last couple of months. It must be a special service or something - I don't know.

I brought a cable modem the other day. It came with same day delivery without an extra fee with Prime.

I would say delivery rules are different. It depends on the item, and where you live, where the item is shipped from, and a promo like "Same Day Delivery"

@bonnielu, once in a while, Amazon sells Prime items that take a little longer. When that's the case it will tell you on the item you choose. Some items take 4-5 days to deliver (I've seen some items say 2-3 days). If you don't see these extended dates for Prime, your items should arrive within two days.

The handling of items from USPS or UPS to USPS is not under Amazon's control and their customer service team is superior to any I've ever come across.

Occasionaly I have an item that says prime but then it is not available to be shipped until a later date. My son receives his orders in two days, including Sundays. Think it's because he is in a larger city. I have had no problem with mine they can be either UPS or USPS.

Like NanaLinda, unless I place my order on Thursday or Friday I reliably get delivery in two days unless otherwise noted when I place the order.

Only one time in all of the years with Prime have I had one item not delivered within two days - which was not an issue. Amazon is, hands down, my number 1 go to place for everything. Their customer service just rocks, plain and simple.

I have had no issues with my Prime Deliveries. I don't see how they arrive, but I'm thinking half by USPS and half by other means - some sort of delivery service. I say that because they don't all arrive at the same time the mail does.

I haven't had any delays at all lately.

One thing for folks to remember (I'm thinking the neighbor) is that Prime is 2-day *shipping time*, not 100% promised 2-day delivery.

It's easy to miss/not notice when they tell you up front it will take an extra 4-5 days because we get used to it being mostly 2 days. Sometimes, the place where it's coming from needs extra prep time. I have missed noticing that a time or two, so I try to be extra careful now.

If possible I look for things "Fulfilled by Amazon" because I believe that means they (Amazon) are shipping it from their warehouse.

It could also be a lazy or overworked USPS mail carrier who just waits the extra day. But Amazon wants to know. If it becomes a pattern for your neighbor that his stuff is often late and he tells Amazon, they will do something about it.

Mine frequently take 3 days or longer. They arrive by the EDD, but it's more than two days. I don't understand it. It wasn't this way originally. I've gotten Sunday deliveries in the past, too. I order from Amazon all the time. Today I did get a two day delivery.

I know. But it depends on where you live how you receive packages. I'm pretty rural. Yet I had a Sunday delivery this past weekend, so clearly it was brought. I know they also have Uber-like agreements with individuals for deliveries.

I have Prime - no complaints about deliveries. If offered, I'll take slower delivery and get a credit on future digital orders, or panty orders. I'm never in a rush for stuff.

I think USPS brings most of my deliveries. They arrive on the promised day, sometimes earlier.

My Prime orders arrive by the guaranteed delivery date 99% of the time...sometimes a day early. But, we do have a distribution center about 30 minutes from our home.

The few times they haven't, I've either let it go or called Amazon CS. If you call, they have a variety of things that they offer to you. I selected the extra month added to my membership.
