Over loaded on Black Friday

This is just too much. I walked in to one of the Bon-Ton stores and they cleared out the jr's area and it's one pile (including the boxes) of comforters. Seriously, the boxes were all the way up to the ceiling and they have some pretty high ceilings.

I know it's every year with them and the comforters, I remember $14.99 and now I believe they are $19.99.

Shoes/boots/ you name it, they have it and I didn't even get to Macy's.

This year I'm not spending money for the sake of spending money, I know there are some great deals but there's always next year too!

Too much? It's one of the biggest shopping days for every retailer, perhaps you should stay away until after Christmas.

Grab your packages early then, the UPS air maintenence workers did authorize a strike which could slow down packages.

That was news from Nov 14th although no one is really talking about it at all.

The sales aren't just for gift giving but also everyday 'stuff' that people use. Take advantage of the prices for those things you would use year 'round.

I'm waiting for 3 deals and they are all gift cards. Usually buy one get one free or half off.

One is my favorite restaurant 3 states away, another for a salon 3 states away and one is a website I get all my makeup, haircare, etc.

I try to guestimate every year how much in gift cards I need for these three places. It's in the thousands, but it saves me hundreds. Worth it!

The types of things on typical sale right now, I'm stocked up and so are my giftees. No matter how great a deal, if I have enough and they have enough, no point in buying it because - no place to store extras.

A few more gift cards, a couple of I-have-no-clue ones.

Retail and the media will drive anything into the ground... and they drove this concept into the ground long ago... Sick of hearing about it...
