I just received (in the mail, snail mail) a $10.00 coupon code for money off on anything. Even today's specials, or electronics the only catch is it has to be at least $20.00. What a NICE gesture, a thank you for just being a customer. In the past I have received 20% off coupons but it couldn't be used on today's specials, but this had just that one limitation.

I have been a custome of the Q for TWENTY Years and have NEVER received anything!!!

@Nitefall, good for you! Enjoy your coupon from HSN. They're third quarter profits are down just like Q. The only shopping network that had gains was JTV.

I rec'd one too and I think it came with the 'junk mail'. All the grocery store ads and such.

I haven't ordered from them in YEARS and yet they thanked me for being a customer.

I kinda feel like it should've gone to someone who is a faithful shopper of theirs.....

Are you thanking HSN really, or just ribbing QVC???? $10 is really not that big of a gesture. It's like getting a 10% off ... a spit in the bucket.

um no, it isn't necessarily. If you only order a $20 item it is technically 50% off. And I'd rather have that "spit in the bucket" than no spit and no bucket like QVC offers...which means they don't offer ZIP! A little off is always better than NOTHING. A small gesture is always better than NO gesture and is certainly appreciated, or at least should be.

Every savings even a little is something. Good for you OP you got something from them. HSN keeps emailing me 20% off coupons (minimum $100 purchase) since I haven't shopped with them in about a year. There is nothing I want from them. Last thing arrived broken a year ago and since it sold out I never got it.

I received the same coupon from HSN. I recently ordered the Giannio's 6lb candy tin. That is the 1st thing I've ordered from them in over 20 years.

I thought the coupon was a really nice gesture since I'm someone who (obviously) doesn't order regularly.

The Giannio's is excellent btw.

The only problem with that is, HSN limits how much money you get off with the 20% coupon. I think it's around $25-30.00 limit.

@HappyDaze, yeah it would be if you don't have to pay S&H. What can you buy on HSN that costs 10.00 with no S&H? Nothing.

I know about the limits on the HSN coupon and it's not that the $10.00 has more value, it's that you know what you'll receive - no gimmicks or limits.

I've been a QVC customer since 1992 and poo poo'd the idea of shopping at HSN. Within the last few years, I've shopped more with HSN vs. QVC for many reasons. I still shop QVC but it has to be something I can't get anywhere else, the price has to be competitive and quality great.

QVC "lost me" as a customer years ago when their quality began to slip, lack of variety and trying to make hosts "our friends."

HSN on the other hand hired a female CEO and she brought in a ton of new vendors, diversity, variety and kept favorites. I like that they charge NO s/h on shoes and have special pricing and deals on beauty. For the past few months, I receive coupons via email.

There are many, many, many on line sites plus a variety of shopping channels to choose from, we can shop them all.

Competition is fierce. So many places these days online and with free shipping or coupon deals. I don't buy what I used to. I guess it might be I don't need as much.

I think I'd rather have a 20% discount on my $70 pants than $10 off. Sometimes, we have to do the mental math to understand what we are really getting.

What I initially said was a $20 item with $10 off. The items I want are only beauty items and they often have free shipping and handling (like right now!). Many of the beauty items are less than $30 and $20 and yes, there are even $10 items, like mini mascaras. With the free shipping, yes, you can get an item for $10. So $10 off can actually be 50% off or even up to 100% off. I am not going to continue arguing about this as it is silly- just because it doesn't apply to the items you may want does not make it not true.

It is still a nice gesture and something QVC never does. MOST people appreciate it.

When I get the deals from HSN I always use the $ off for the smaller items to get the bigger bang for my buck and the % off for the larger items. I definitely do the math to see which promo is going to give me the better % off.

For Jewellery Gemporia.com the UK area I love best like The Lounge.......enjoy and it is pure real stones and gold and silver with the silver having no nickle, I have some of the most beautiful rings it is unreal and the prices are so low. Beautiful stones real not lab created real stones and I have never heard of most of them They now have a USA site but I prefer London.
