Family sadness

My niece's wedding was to be tomorrow, Saturday 11/04/2016. On Thursday, her fiancé was killed on I-75. He had car trouble, pulled off and was hit by a semi truck. He died at the hospital. This was his first marriage, her second. She has 3 beautiful daughters. They all loved each other and was so excited about starting their new lives as a family. Words can't express how heart sick the entire family is over this senseless death. The family is gathering on Wednesday and Thursday to say our goodbyes and try to give comfort to our niece. Keep them in your prayers. Thank you.

I am so sorry, sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

We often hear of this kind of tragedy where I live. To everyone reading this, it is very unsafe to stop on the shoulder of an interstate, day or night! Only do this if you absolutely have to and pull as far away from the lanes of travel as you possbly can. It is much safer to take the nearest exit, then pull into a gas station or other parking lot. Even if you have a flat tire, it is not worth risking your life to pull over immediately if it can be avoided. Truck drivers and other motorists often do not see cars on the shoulder of the interstate, then of course add in darkness of night, long days, cell phones, etc. and it often ends in a serious incident.
