I may have mentioned my surgery, but it wasn't a part of a thread. I had ankle reconstruction surgery on the 14th of June. I had a torn ankle tendon. It had been in the planning for four years. I have been in major pain, and am not allowed to put weight on my ankle for six weeks.

Yesterday, I wasn't focusing on what I was doing, and fell in the bathroom. (I need to slow down.) I should have been using the walker in a different way. Fortunately, I didn't land on my foot. I was home alone, and was able to get myself up without putting weight on my right leg. It's a good thing my upper body is fairly strong.

I've been sleeping downstairs on my DD's bed. Boy, do I miss sleeping with my DH!

The stitches are out, and every two weeks, I need a new cast for repositioning. I go back to see the doctor on Friday, July 13tth.

I'm going to behave now, but it's making me crazy to be in the house. My pups have been keeping me good company. Also, my DH has been terrific.

Supposedly, I will be okay for when school starts, but altogether, it will be a year long process with PT, when the cast comes off.
