      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;Maybe I am mistaken, but at one time, I thought the hosts were to wait until products aired before placing an order for their personal use.&amp;nbsp; Last night on PMS, the host informed the world that her order was placed before the item aired.&amp;nbsp; I have a problem with this type of announcement, especially when the product is a "sure" hit.&amp;nbsp; It just sounded kind of snippy and snarky and a bit unprofessional.&amp;nbsp; In the past I have heard hosts say something like, "Save me one in &amp;nbsp;'x' size", but apparently that is not the case anymore.&amp;nbsp; Too bad as I believe hosts from other stations are polite enough to not make that statement, or they wait until after their shift to make a purchase.&amp;nbsp; Maybe this isn't a big deal, but elections have been won &amp;amp; lost on 1 vote!&amp;nbsp; Hope nobody wanted the item in an XS, Black!&amp;nbsp; I hope this comment isn't deleted for content, I am not being mean or rude, merely stating things I have heard in the past!&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;My take is that it is a selling tactic.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They know which colors are moving or not so announcing they have already bought one in a certain color to me pretty much guarantees they are just pushing the slower selling items.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Or if an item is dragging in sales they will push the "this is my favorite I own several" schtick to sell sell sell.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They count on the customers who just have to beat everyone else out to get that item in that color.&amp;nbsp; And there are folks who buy that way - have to get it before somebody else does.&amp;nbsp; LOL&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080" face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;I know that they receive "samples" of certain products, but I still feel that making that type of an announcement is tacky.&amp;nbsp; I would assume that an XS in black is the one that is purchased in a large quantity, but still......it just sounded snarky.&amp;nbsp; Maybe I am getting old and crochety, but even if it was a selling tactic, it probably should have been kept quiet.&amp;nbsp; It really didn't affect me per se as I don't purchase a lot from QVC&amp;nbsp;anymore.&amp;nbsp; But, from the way the product sold out so quickly, the information could have not been publicized.&amp;nbsp; IMHO anyway.&lt;img id="smileyfrustrated" class="emoticon emoticon-smileyfrustrated" src="https://community.qvc.com/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-frustrated.png" alt="Smiley Frustrated" title="Smiley Frustrated" /&gt;&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;As far as I am concerned, the Hosts can buy 100% of the stock in every color and size they want to before, during and after the presentation.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There has never been QVC item that I HAD to have. &amp;nbsp;If Something catches my eye and my color or size is gone, &amp;nbsp;someone just saved me money.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT color="#000080" face="comic sans ms,sans-serif" size="3"&gt;I totally agree, they have never had anything that I absolutely HAD to have or couldn't purchase in my area.&amp;nbsp; They have NOTHING that I cannot get in my area for nearly the same price.&amp;nbsp; A good example would be Dooney &amp;amp; Bourke handbags.&amp;nbsp; They never give the retail price on those and in doing due diligence and comparison shopping in my area, they can be purchased here for exactly what QVC sells them for.&amp;nbsp; And, the great thing about that is.....don't have to pay S&amp;amp;H in the extragavant amounts the "Q" charges, i.e. $11+.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Obviously, TPTB don't have a problem with the hosts saying "Order me one!", because if they did, I'm pretty sure that the hosts wouldn't say it, because nobody wants to be in trouble with the boss.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, if their bosses are okay with it, then it's much ado about nothing, in my book.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT size="4"&gt;Judging by how they look and act, how they dress and what they say, I'd say the hosts have little supervision and few if any, guidelines on how to conduct themselves. &amp;nbsp;They seem to do pretty much what they want. &amp;nbsp;I think pre-ordering was a definite no-no in the olden days. &amp;nbsp;Now it seems to be an accomplishment worthy of an emmy.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="helvetica"&gt;LOL&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="helvetica"&gt;It doesn't matter if they say they have this or that or have ordered this or that or ask for the item to be set aside for them.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="helvetica"&gt;Just because it is said doesn't make it so.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="helvetica"&gt;Sell, sell, sell.&amp;nbsp; It's a business and the tactic may bother some but it's not exclusive to the Q hosts.&amp;nbsp; It works for them and the bottom line is profit.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;FONT face="helvetica"&gt;Nothing wrong with that.&amp;nbsp; The only tactic that would bother me is deceptive advertising about a product and the reviews would rein that in pronto.&lt;/FONT&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
