Mary J. Blige’s Estranged Husband Kendu Isaacs Wants $129,319 per Month in Spousal Support

Mary J. Blige’s estranged husband, Martin ‘Kendu’ Isaacs, told the judge he wants over $100,000 per MONTH in spousal support.

Martin Isaacs filed for temporary spousal support, and according to the docs — obtained by TMZ — he thinks $129,319 per month is a nice, round number. His argument is simple — Mary was the breadwinner during their 12-year marriage and got him used to their lavish lifestyle.

Martin says Mary earned anywhere from $1.5 to $5.1 million over the last 2 years. Remember, he use to be her manager … and he points out she’s currently on tour with an album about to drop. He, on the other hand, has zero income since Mary fired him shortly after she filed for divorce.

As for that prenup we told you about … Martin believes it’s bogus since he signed it without a lawyer. And he says Mary knows the prenup’s BS, as evidenced by the fact she’s already cut him 2 checks for a total of $85k.

$129,000 per MONTH? With NO kids? Nah.

How disgusting. I am biased because my daughter, the breadwinner in her family, kicked her lazy husband out after 13 years of marriage. She was terrified that she'd have to pay him alimony, despite his being an able-bodied human being. She works two jobs to this day in order to have the life she wants. Her ex earns almost nothing so child support is basically nil. A close friend's daughter just kicked her husband out and, living in California, she may have to support him. Something is wrong here!

Mary has had some financial difficulties since she married Mr. Do Nothing. He's a waste about and I hope the pre nup may be iron clad. As far as the two checks go, it may be money owed to him when he was her Manager.

That's chump change. The ex-wife of the founder of Cancer Treatment Centers of America wants $400,000 a month. I'm not saying she doesn't deserve it, but how much did the slime ball husband make off sick people to be able to pay her that?

Whats good for the goose! The concept of alimony is sexist. State laws need to be revisited. Divide common property, provide for child support and both parties get a job!!! Alimony for either party?? Sh#t no.

If he can show he should receive that (as a wife would), then why not?

Being honest, I would hit my husband in the wallet if we divorced: the house, child support, alimony, bills paid, you name it. Absofreakinglutely. Gratned, my situation is a bit different and he's not a celebrity but yeah.

I love Mary J Blige. I am never really impressed when I see a spouse who can work, that doesn't. Now if they had children that he stayed home to take care of and stopped working in order to do so, I would think that he was owed. That isn't the case here though and I think it makes him look bad.

Plus, doesn't Mary have some pretty sizable tax liens totalling around 4 million dollars? Isn't he or wasn't he her manager who was supposed to be handling that kind of stuff? If that is the case it looks like he didn't do a very good job. Sounds like he needs to get a job.

@Irshgrl31201 First off, I know absolutely nothing about their relationship except seeing them on TV all goo goo gaga in love. Just to play devil's advocate, lots of performers want their significant other to be around all the time, keep them company on the road, keep them from being tempted while apart, etc. Perhaps she wanted him tagging along instead of working. If so, he should be treated just the same as he would if the roles were reversed.

Just stating another viewpoint. He might just be a bum lol.

Yes, I do agree with you @Reba055 in that regard. If he had a career before (which I don't know if he did or not) and she wanted him to give that up to be around for her I do agree she should pay to get him back on his feet for the time he lost doing that. I do know he was her manager but I don't know exactly HOW involved he was supposed to be.

He needs to get a job and support himself! This idea that someone needs to live off of someone else's income is ridiculous! I can understand supporting children. It does not matter if it's a male or female to me. Get off your rump and get to work!
