Ring on the Left Ring Finger

Hi everyone. I will be completely transparent and say that I have met someone who is of interest to me😊. I do not know if he is married and I don't quite feel comfortable asking. He wears a ring on his left ring finger that looks like a typical male ring. It isn't a wedding band. What do you all think?

@JBKO, you don't feel comfortable asking him if he is married, but you are interested in him, I certainly do not understand this ..... I guess you could care less!

Unless he is a priest married to God, I'd say the ring means he is married or (perhaps) she recently passed away.

I wear a ring on my left ring finger every day that's not a wedding band and I'm not married. He could just have too many rings and not enough fingers. I'd say probably not married but could be.

Ask him! If you're not comfortable with being that direct ask re his family, does he have kids, how he spends his time, etc.

If it's a class ring it could just be that it doesn't fit anymore on his right hand if that's the one that was measured for it.

If it's just a ring, why would you think he's married?

If he's interested in dating, why not say, you do not date married men.

I guess the caffeine hasn't kicked in for me yet, but I'm really not understanding you .... it doesn't look like a wedding ring, but somehow you think he might be married?

All you have to do is spontaneously "notice" the ring and ask about it.

However ....... Regardless of any jewelry on his left hand, you really need to verify his marital status ... STAT.

"MOST" single men would never wear a ring on their left hand. Just saying from many yrs of being single & always checking men out,lol. Also a man told me once, a single man usually wants everyone to know he is available, so they would never do this. BUT.... you never know til you ask. Go ahead & ask!!

My husband wore his fathers masons ring before we were married. I don't know any men that wear a class ring as a wedding ring.
