Help With Christmas Gift Ideas For My Son.

My son is 33, married with two children and doesn't need a thing. I've run out of ideas for him, he has every electronic item out there and short of a new car, I'm stumped. For him and his siblings I usually give a gift card to a nice restaurant for their birthdays. He has like Amazon gift cards in the past but I don't want to give him that again this year.

I've already given books, chess sets, bike gear, running shoes and coffee gadgets. Help me please.

I don't know where he lives but how about tickets to a play somewhere nearby that would have a good production. A night out for him and his wife.

Any interests like cooking? How about a class in an area of interest?

I like the idea of gifting an "experience" like game or concert tickets.....maybe talk to his wife and she can help you choose something that he would love. And maybe you can watch the grandchildren if you live nearby!

Something else he might like with winter approaching....a couple of books of car wash tickets. Wish someone would give me those!!!

I don't try to guess what my kids want anymore. I ask them what they want or they can give me some choices. That way they get what they want and I don't waste my money. I also give them ideas of what I would like to have. I too have everything I could possibly need and am difficult to buy for. We just put it out there.

They live five hours away and there isn't any group or person that he would want to go see unless they were a singing football team. His wife is so much easier to buy a gift for.

I run into the same problem with my husband and brother. One thing they both appreciate is a gift certificate to get their vehicle thoroughly detailed.

I like @Noel7 idea for a class in something he has an interest in. My sister is equally difficult to buy for because like your son she really has everything she needs and most everything she wants so I try to get an "experience" for her. For an example one year I bought her two tickets to Biltmore estate at Christmas time and then I picked at a restaurant at a place I thought she would love and I got a certificate for that. She drove up there with my brother in law and spent the day at Biltmore and then had a nice dinner. She really liked that. They both did.

Our family is really into history so maybe you could pick something in your area that they might have an interest in (or something just a few hours away) like a museum or some place with historical value and then a gift certificate for a restaurant you think they would like?

Jane, I have resorted to asking my children to make a Wish List on Amazon. That way I know what I am giving them is truly wanted. Even for my grandson, I have my daughter make up a list of the toys he wants.....otherwise I find myself buying duplicates of toys he already has.

Lately I've resorted to a gift card at Total Wine & Spirits. Sometimes it's fun to buy something you ordinarily wouldn't at the liquor store!.

My son did that once. I went hunting for the car in toy form: you know, the Matchbox toys. Then I searched for a model car, the type you have to build yourself.

@JaneMarple Our family have wish lists on Amazon. So I can get what they want but they won't know which gift I pick. Also, our sons love getting different magazines.

I also get the grandkids magazines. Ranger Rick and Highlights are both good. And they get something in the mail every month.

Good timing for me to come across this thread. My son will be 30, 11 days before Christmas....so I need ideas for both his birthday and Christmas. He's also married with two children, and I've paid more attention to the children since they were born 7 months ago! Would like to do something or buy something that's just for him.

Is he a foodie....HSN has a TS ...Lorena Garcia Skinny Mini for $30.00....they are showing it right now...Or..I think it may be Sunday...the Q. will have as their TSV...an Air Fryer...

If he likes "playing" in the kitchen...those two items might be fun for him to create meals...

Wow he may really like the air fryer because he eats healthy but still oves some fried foods. Thank you @circles
