Glad they got busted. I received calls from these scammers twice. Just hung up. But interestingly, just got another very similar call from a female voice yesterday. I suspect these organizations are like cockroaches, for every one you see there are 100 others you don't.

I too received calls from them, about 3 and they all went into my voice mail. Easy to detect that they were from India. Never spoke to them just let them rant their easily detectable accents demanding money from me. Unbelievable that people actually fell for it. Did it make me mad, you better believe it did!

I was under the impression that most of these calls originated in Nigeria where fleecing Americans is a national pastime. They seem to be all over the place. They must think we're real dummies and in many cases, we are.

It's about time! I received some calls and reported them to the IRS. They were very persistent, rude, and threatening.

I am disappointed to see this article mentions Indian police had not worked with the U.S. authorities on this case. IMO they should be working together to stop these scams and hold them accountable.

Finally, the first time they called it scared me, then my hubby said if there was a problem we would received a letter in the mail. So after that I would just say don't call me I know you are a scam and hang up.

I would be so happy if they could get rid of all the scammers that call me since I hit Medicare age! Seems like my name got added to the "scam the seniors" list so I get calls for insurance, hearing aids, back braces, alert systems. I don't answer but I do look the numbers up. It is endless! Now that Medicare enrollment has started, I am very popular!

I received calls almost daily until about a week ago...hmm...wonder if they got our scammers. GOOD!

Good! I receive those IRS recorded phone scams several times a week. I also get those Microsoft phone calls often

So glad to hear this, I've been getting calls from numbers with a California area code, but my phone tells me the call originates from India. I've never answered any of them.

One down....! I know a dear 91 year old woman who told me she is getting a big IRS refund! All she has to do is choose whether she wants it all at once or in fourths. She needs to send them 22.84 to process her option...

I tried to convince her it was a scam but she told me it had to be real because they typed the letter to her! It said, " Dear Susan, .." And, it was two, double sided pages!

I hope I convinced her not to send any money! I can only imagine people her age, afraid of official notices, filling out ALL of the info they ask for! We must stop all of these crooks!
