Yes, it's hot! We had a few cool days last week and I was happy to have them after the awful summer with one fire burning. And now there is another. I want rain, rain, and a bit more rain.

We did much better this summer than last summer when it was hot, but not this hot, every day. But here we go...

It seems to have been hot every weekend lately, but it should go down in a day or so and stay that way through this coming weekend.

UGH! I am about over summer. Sorry you are having to deal with that weather! It has been such a hot and humid summer here and it just drains my energy. It has been cooling down here and today I don't think it got over 75. I usually jog about 3-5 miles about 3 to 4 times a week but I had been using my treadmill for a lot of the summer because I couldn't take the temperatures. Today was the first time in a while that I jogged outside.

How long is it supposed to stay that hot?

It comes and goes here, every time it cools down, we get news that another heatwave is coming.

Our typical Indian summer includes October.

I'll bet the heat is hard on you, too.

@Noel7, I have heard from a lot of people with autoimmune disorders that the heat really drains them also. Do you experience that as well? I mean I have never liked heat and humidity but mostly for hair reasons (lol) but now it really affects me physically. It just is so draining. My niece and nephew came to visit us a couple of weeks ago and it was really hot. We took them out to see the town and I was so tired by the end of the day. I am not like that normally but it just exhausted me.

Anyway, hope it cools down soon for you!

The first rule they tell you about lupus is to NEVER get in the sun, it can trigger a flare. It also triggers small rashes for me, yuck.

Also, I don't perspire normally. Basically not at all, a little on my upper lip if it's really hot. I get so drained, just like you. It's awful for you and for me

I live in Oxnard, CA (southern Calif) where it rarely gets over 80 degrees. Right now it's 6 PM and it's 90 degrees (highest today was 96 degrees). I feel like I can't breathe - it actually feels humid. When I go in my backyard (southern exposure), it feels like it's 100 degrees. When I go out my front door onto my porch, it feels like 85 degrees. I don't have air conditioning, but my house stays very comfortable. I decided not to take my little lhasa for a walk today.

Keep cool ladies/gentlemen.

Here in the desert it was 72° today and in the 40s overnight. Feels wonderful after the hot summer we had.

The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta starts Saturday and it's always cold out on the field at dawn. Warms up by late morning but everyone bundles up for the morning ascension.

I went to Watsonville today and it was 105 according to my car. A/C full blast. I would have seen the fire, but I was consistently driving/looking south, so didn't see it until I got home, on FB. It's burning very near the campgrounds my niece & her DH use all the time so they have been paying close attention. Not near the house, about 45 min. north.

It was 90 degrees today in a spot along the coast where the usual is 55, and 90 degrees yesterday in Pacific Grove. 4-5 blocks from the water.

It just takes the stuffing right out of ya. Will probably take a cool/tepid shower before I attempt to sleep later. BBQ for dinner.

It's hot here too in the Los Angeles area. I sometimes wonder with all the fires, will there be anything left.

Hi, Noel, I guess im in the minority here in silicon valley, I love the heat and Indian Summer and I get a little sad when it officially ends. So Im just gonna enjoy the time left.

I do hope the fires get contained soon and nobody is hurt or injured.

I usually do some type of outside exercise everyday. Or I do yard chores. Could not do that today.

It sounds like your area and mine have been pretty much the same for two days, awful. We still have the big industrial-type fan on. For the first time ever one of the cats is hanging out in front of the fan.
