How to change your profile picture here??

Good Morning,

Look in the upper right hand corner of the page. You should see your current avatar next to the box named notifications.

Take your cursor to your name and rest it there. Four options should show and you want to click My Settings. Once you are on that page, there should be a tab for Avatar.

After that just click on upload avatar and it will be so easy.

hi @croemer

click or hover on your name (next to your notifications box)

click on "my settings"

click on "avatars"

click on "upload an avatar" and then choose where you want to upload it from.

Hmm, when I did my avatar I had to save the picture and then use it as the avatar. I usually post on a PC running Windows 7 so I don't know if it's different for your operating system.

@croemer, the photo has to be on your computer and uploaded to the forums. Click the link in my signature to find a list of tutorials and tips, including how to upload an avatar.

It's a cat meme, maybe because I don't "own" it,

Do you understand how to do it after reading these responses? What version of Windows are you running? Do you have pictures saved on your computer that you want to use for your avatar?

If so, do you know how to open your Windows Explorer. If so, do you know how to open folders within Windows Explorer? If so find the picture you wish to use for your avatar. Then follow the steps of instructions there on the QVC page.

Gurl, how do you get around the internet? Do you use explorer or google.

Is the picture you want on the internet? Do you know how to save copies of a picture from the internet onto your computer?

Edited to ADD - I'm not being a smart as-, I want to start at square one to walk you through it.

@Bird mama, I use google. I was going to google an avatar and use it from the internet.

Okay, so you are gonna have to find the picture you want using the google :-)

Once you find the image, you are going to have to save a copy of it to your computer. Usually if you right click on an image it will give you an option of

"Save Picture As". If you click the "Save Picture As", a dialogue box should pop up on your computer.

Should look something like this

It should have the name of the picture as it was saved to the internet. You can rename it.

It should also show what type of picture it is. Pictures with a .jpeg extension are best.

You can decide where on your computer you want to store the picture. The computer I am at work and I am playing with regarding this tends to default to PICTURE GALLERY.

Saving it is easy. You just need to remember WHERE you save it on your computer.

Try saving your picture to your computer and then we can continue.
