I enjoy watching her. She's sharper than many of the 20 something year olds I know. She gives out one line barbs that are so funny.

I don't buy any of her jewelry, but I will sit and watch and listen like a student....it's refreshing and fun. I also like to watch the hostesses tell me (the viewer) how I REALLY need to buy whatever it is....

I have a couple of her bracelets and some black flats with an owl on the toes. I have had them for several years and I still enjoy wearing them. The shoes get attention always. My lady friends love them. I am not into the extremely large necklaces. I do enjoy her shows and will be watching. Better hide the money. I should never think never.

I have the DVD that was made about her and her husband. They collect everything. It was all sort of jumbled together in a chic way. I can't think of the name of the DVD but it is fun to see all the stuff she has. She has started giving her clothes to a museum

Colleen just said that Iris was the first woman to ever wear jeans.. I did not know that but it is very believable. So far my wallet is safe. My plus size body would not look good in the clothes so far. I am enjoying the show. She has a wonderful sense of style and humor. I would love to have tea with her and learn all I could absorb.

She is such an interesting character. I just love her unique personality and flair.

I also watched the documentary on Netflix about her and enjoyed it. I think there is also another film about her if I'm not mistaken.

I watched Iris tonight and I just adore her and love her so much!! When she told the story of her first piece of jewelry she bought at 11 years old,for .65 cents and how they had no money and her father always taught her to look to the right of the menu for the prices of the plate at a restaurant...Omgosh I could've cried because the beauty and soul of this woman amazed me!! I wish her so many more years to have her in our lives!! Sometimes I think the world forgets how important and special and beautiful people of advanced age are!! We focus as a society on such nonsense and reality stars, when women and people like Iris Apfel should be treasured and loved!!

Made me want to kiss and hug my grandparents but they're both so long gone and I miss my father who passed away at 87 years young in August...

Life is too short people, treasure your grandparents and parents and tell them everyday how much you love them and let your children build strong bounds with seniors that may need help in your towns and neighborhoods. They have so much to teach us that we shall never know!!

Bless you Iris, may you have so many, many more years to have fun in color and fashion and with jewelery!!

Iris is actually tiny! She and her husband used to own Old World Weavers, a high end textile house available to the trade only. Their fabrics were very lush with lots of heavy tapestries. Beautiful fabrics. Very expensive. And not for everyone. If I remember correctly, Stark Carpet bought Old World Weavers when Iris and her husband retired.

She is known for her very distinctive and some would say her eccentric style. Some years back the Met in NYC did a retrospective of her clothing and ensembles. Didn't see the exhibit but did see the book from it. A Rara Ivis indeed! Her personal style is hers alone. And her message is for women to not be afraid to develop their own if also eccentric style. Her style suits her. Wouldn't suit me! I did buy a couple of her gold foil wide bangles that I msot often wear in the summer as fun pieces.

as i am recently retired, in search of my next assignment (which i will self-assign based on passion), it is truly inspiring to see this 95 year old going strong, full of sass and so comfortable with her style. and not jaded! i love her sweater coats and agree with her splash of color and statement piece style of dressing. i think you just have to adjust it to your own mode. well done, Iris!

I about fell off my chair when I learned her age!!!

I am thrilled to find her on HSN and unfort. I have opened my wallet, I can not resist her unique clothes!! Fabulous color and styles.
