Fall Weather?

Anyone else have a forecast for real autumn weather in the near future? We have a cold front coming through right this minute. Temperature has dropped since this morning and the wind is blowing about 40mph. We'll have highs in high 60s/low 70s and lows in 40s in the coming days.

Time to get the fleece sheets on the bed.

Went out to check on my dog this morning who was furiously barking in the back yard. There were 2 hot air balloons at rooftop level in front of the houses behind me. Dogs hate the sound of them. Balloon Fiesta starts 2 weeks from today! Yes, it's definitely fall.

Thanks for inclluding your tag line to show where you are. Usually posters forget to say, and it's not interesting to know what unless you know where!!

We're in S. E. Louisiana, and there's not a hint of fall here. It's been in the mid 90's all week, and nothing is changing for the weekend. Rain is expected on Monday and Tuesday, so perhaps the temps will drop a bit.

October is usually one of our best months, so here's hoping that October doesn't let us down this year.

Those are the temps we've been having lately, too, so yes it is fall weather. I prefer COLD, but I'll take the cool weather over hot weather any time.

We are still waiting for fall here in Indiana! We have had high 80s all week long and no rain - cold front coming through sunday night - will drop to 70s. At least the mornings have been nice and cool and no humidity during the - that I can deal with! I really don't think we are going to have much of a fall here this year - I think we will jump right into winter.

Here in Southern Virginia was 80's today, ac still going and I am awaiting my favorite season...autumn. I think the word autumn means sated from the harvest if I am not mistaken. Ohhhhh I would love to live in NM.....am a southern gal with a zest for the desert southwest. When in Virginia City Nevada they had to catch me to get on the plane to fly back here. I was hoping to apply for southwest refugee status LOL LOVE cool weather and dont mind heat as long as not humid.

I'm in central NY. We got to 85 and sunny today. Beautiful. Tonight down to 40 with a high of 64 tomorrow. We are to have 6 cool days and then warm up again. We had such a dry summer they do not expect our fall leaves to be colorful this year. I had to rake leaves in Aug but rain this month has helped. Most of my grass is green again and I need to mow. The black walnuts are falling on my roof so the squirrels will be busy. The deer wait for me to open the outer shells with my mower and they will eat the nuts. I love fall. I've got new batteries in my camera and I am ready to go for a ride around the lakes and hills.

Some of you are probably going to feel the effects of the cold front we're having. It was 81° at noon today and now at 4pm it's 63°. It's supposed to be the first very strong cold front of the season. @Desertdi Did you get it? She's in Phoenix and has been so hot.

@Perkup My pet peeve, people who describe their weather with no indication of where they are. I'm in the Albuquerque area.

@Stormygirl Come and join us. I love it here on most days. I've lived quite a few places, about 35 years in Texas, and I like it here the best.

@Kachina624 Howdy! Yup........84° yesterday and today! The only difference is: Rain and 80% humidity yesterday -- Sunny and 10% humidity today. Now.....here's the really good part...........I was at Target when we had a downpour......and got a "free" car wash. The rain came down so hard that it washed a month of grime off the car in about 15 minutes..........

NW burbs of Chicago - still in 80's with 75% humidity - next week mid 70's. I'm SO ready for fall after this hot, humid summer we've had.

Hoping it won't be too long before I can start wearing my Linea sweaters !

It was 65 today in NE WI. Cold front rolled in yesterday and looks like temps won't change that much over the next week. Love it. Leaves are starting to fall. Fall is definitely here.

It's not supposed to hit us until Sunday or Monday. They are saying high in the 50s on Monday.
