Beware of fake news stories about Angelina and Brad that look very real

They contain viruses and ransomware. These stories look like they came from reputable news outlets but they are fakes. Any news out there that states Angie committed suicide - don't click. It's called Click Bait.

Thanks for that .... but who, in this day and age, doesn't have both anti-virus and anti-malware programs on their computers?

Thanks for that .... but who, in this day and age, doesn't have both anti-virus and anti-malware programs on their computers?

....and who clicks on unkown garbage sites? When they pop up, you always know what they are.

I don't know if all the programs catch everything.

Thank you for the heads up although I never go to gossip sites or magazines. I give time for the truth to come out. On the subject, everyday someone finds a way to beat the system in one aspect of life or another. I never assume anything I have purchased to protect me and my information can not be hacked and/or beat. I have to make responsible choices also. No one and no system is perfect and unbeatable. Listen to the news. There are horror stories on a regular basis.

These are lookalike sites pretending to be CNN, ABC, etc.

Yesterday a few posters were touting the British on line tabloids as great sources, i disagree. There are a lot of problems with their sites and i don't read them.

A lot of people click on random sites. I do what I can to be diligent, I don't expect that my computer is going to be protected from absolutely everything.

I don't click on links that are posted here because I've had issues in the past.

The upcoming divorce has been announced on most news stations, including on one of our local stations. Since Brad and Angelina have asked for privacy, and they won't get it, I am always perplexed as to why people need to keep finding more info on them.

They may be public figures but they are still people with their own issues. and lives.

I feel sorry for them.

Wow, not surprised. There seems to be numerous entities doing this lately over different types of subjects.

Two different times, when I Googled a particular software I wanted to install, I have almost chosen sites that pretend to be another site, like with a very similar name. It's extremely easy to chose the wrong one and takes great diligence to pay very clear attention.

Must be one of the latest ways to try and burn people. *sigh* Bad guys - always two steps ahead of the good guys.

@Annabellethecat66 The thread is about not clicking on certain sites with info about Angelina or Brad because they will give your computer a virus. Make sure it is a reputable site.

I understood that. I think it's good of you to post it. I was just reminding people that when they do click on they are still reading another person's theory of it. I thought reminding them of that might help them to not click on SOME of these websites.

Each person who posts on it helps keep it up so others can see it.
